The Recruiting and L&D Department's mission is to promote the proactive growth of each employee by providing platforms for the development of employee competencies and skills based on Rakuten Shugi (Rakuten's principles), enabling Rakuten Group to continue contributing to the empowerment of people and society as a global innovation company.
The Talent Management Section serves as a core function for Rakuten's talent development and employee engagement. It is responsible for employee engagement and retention, supporting autonomous career development, leadership development, and talent analytics. This role offers numerous opportunities to acquire core skills in human resource management.

Position Details

As a manager in the Talent Management Section, you will play a crucial role in driving both organizational growth and individual career support. You will formulate talent management strategies aligned with business strategy, and consistently lead the planning, execution, and measurement of results for the following themes. Depending on your experience and skills upon joining, you may be primarily responsible for all or a portion of the duties listed below.

Formulation and Promotion of Leadership Development and Talent Assessment Strategy
- Planning, designing, and executing strategic leadership development initiatives and programs (training, coaching, etc.) aimed at fostering next-generation leaders.
- Introducing and utilizing talent assessments for the purpose of identifying and developing executive candidates and management personnel.

Planning and Promotion of Company-Wide Career Development Support and Retention Strategy
- Planning, building, and operating initiatives to support the autonomous career development of each employee.
- Formulating and executing measures aimed at improving engagement and reducing turnover.

Strategic Data Utilization through Talent Analytics
- Designing various surveys, such as engagement surveys and employee satisfaction surveys, and designing and promoting talent analytics utilizing the data from these survey results.
- Identifying key drivers influencing engagement and retention based on analysis, and planning actionable initiatives.
- Visualizing organizational challenges based on data and making recommendations to management.

*Strategic Planning and Promotion: You will have the discretion to work on tasks ranging from developing the core concepts of plans to leading their implementation across the entire team.
*Global Perspective: You will have opportunities to deepen your knowledge of global talent management through collaboration with International HR.
*Collaboration with Management: By directly collaborating with executives, including the President and Vice President, and planning and promoting initiatives directly linked to business strategy, you will feel a direct contribution to business growth.

Mandatory Qualifications:

Candidates with experience in a business company in one of the following areas:
- Experience in planning and promoting talent management or leadership development initiatives.
- Experience in planning and promoting engagement and retention initiatives using talent analytics.
- Business-level English and fluent Japanese.

Desired Qualifications:

- Experience proposing to and negotiating with executives.
- Experience participating in global projects.
- Experience using English in a business context.
