Manager, Technology Business Management (12 Month Contract)

The opportunity

The Manager, Technology Business Management is responsible for driving the strategic alignment of technology investments with organizational goals. This role provides critical insights into technology spend and performance, enabling data-driven decision making and optimizing the value of technology across the enterprise.  

Who you'll work with

The Manager, Technology Business Management will work within the Technology Division, reporting directly to the Director. They will collaborate regularly with Technology Services and Business Technology leadership, finance teams, and project managers to ensure transparency and alignment of technology initiatives.  

What you'll do

  • Supports the development and implementation of Technology Business Management (TBM) frameworks to optimize technology portfolios and drive investment decisions. 

  • Works with senior management to analyze technology spend, identify cost optimization opportunities, and establish metrics for measuring technology value. 

  • Partners with finance and procurement to develop and monitor technology budgets, forecasts, and cost recovery models. 

  • Coordinates with IT and business stakeholders to align technology initiatives with strategic objectives and ensure successful delivery of key projects. 

  • Prepares and presents executive dashboards, reports, and recommendations to inform leadership of technology performance and value realization. 

  • Collaborate with the Cloud Optimization team to support comprehensive visibility of Cloud implications to overall cost, project activities, operational processes, and business cases, ensuring ongoing engagement and alignment with the Cloud Optimization objectives.  

What you'll need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., TBM, ITIL, PMP) preferred. 

  • Demonstrated expertise in technology budgeting, cost analysis, and performance measurement. 

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. 

  • Knowledge of TBM tools and frameworks, and familiarity with IT service management practices. 

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in technology business management, IT financial management, or a related discipline. 

  • Experience working in cross-functional teams and managing complex projects in a large organization.

What we’re offering

The Base Salary range for this level is as follows: $105,000 - $155,000. Individual compensation and placement of this role in the range is based on different factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to relevant experience, skills, demonstrated competencies, and internal equity as they relate to the role.
