Manager, Technical Program Management - CSD Programs and Governance

SailPoint is seeking a senior level manager for Technical Program Management to join our CSD Programs and Governance team. 

The ideal candidate is passionate about delivering high business value and is experienced in all facets of:

  • Business Operations (Project Management, Business Process Engineering, Metrics/Reporting, Root Cause Analysis)

  • People Management (mentoring/training junior level TPM’s)

  • Financial Acumen (Forecasting/Budgets/Revenue Operations). 

 

The ideal candidate is goal and detail oriented with a strong background in directly leading and mentoring a team of Technical Program Managers across multiple disciplines. They possess exceptional communication, problem solving and collaborative skills and can articulate specific examples where they have lead people and programs in an iterative, rapid, and cross-functional environment. 

 

This role is a “player-coach” scenario where the candidate will be expected lead as well as to “roll up their sleeves” and actively participate as a Technical Program Manager and/or Business Operations leader when identified gaps in program team roles exist while ensuring that gaps get filled.   

 

This is a “people interactive” role, where the ideal candidate will be expected to interface with multiple cross-functional teams to demonstrate program  leadership, coordinate team capacity, advance learning and program management capabilities of team members,  address team needs to meet company goals, build relationships outside of the CSD organization (Procurement/Customer Support/IT/Legal/Compliance) and communicate program progress to stakeholders and Executive Leadership. 

 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Lead the daily activities, needs, challenges, and oversight of Technical Program Managers across all spans of the CSD verticals

  • Advance capabilities of program manager team members

  • Operate as a “Player/Coach” by identifying gaps in program team roles and filling those gaps

  • Build strategies and operational motions/processes/procedures that focus on bringing value to stakeholders and the company as a whole

  • Own cross-functional dependency processes including the collection, review, reporting, analysis, and updates to stakeholders

·        Contribute ideas toward the collective/shared vision for the Programs and Governance organization

  • Recognize, strategize and execute system/process deficiencies and implement effective solutions

  • Speak knowledgably and articulately as well as communicate easily and effectively with individuals at any level in the organization.

  • Drive alignment between all departments within the CSD organization

  • Demonstrate the ability to manage and resolve critical incidents and escalations in a timely manner, using effective communication and problem-solving skills to minimize impact and risk. 

  • Assist in the career planning and development of Technical Program Managers within the team and challenge the team to develop as leaders while clarifying roles and responsibilities

  • Support budget development, management and execution.

 

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent industry work experience 

  • 7+ years of People Leadership experience in a fast-paced business environment with a growing company

  • 7-10 years of Program Management experience in a high-tech organization successfully delivering large, distributed enterprise Agile projects, including dependency mapping, project delivery sequencing, ability to understand both high level and low-level project delivery details. Experience delivering enterprise level customer programs/projects is a plus. 

  • Exceptional track record of setting and achieving detailed program/project goals. 

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and making data-driven decisions. 

  • High initiative and passion helping teams continuously improve program/project delivery. 

  • Track record of managing executive level escalations and collaborating across the org to perform RCAs.

 

Benefits and Compensation listed vary based on the location of your employment and the nature of your employment with SailPoint.

As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the SailPoint Corporate Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission, along with potential eligibility for equity participation. SailPoint maintains broad salary ranges for its roles to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect SailPoint’s differing products, industries, and lines of business. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity. We estimate the base salary, for US-based employees, will be in this range from (min-mid-max, USD):

Base salaries for employees based in other locations are competitive for the employee’s home location.
