Position Summary:

This is a full-time salaried position, based onsite out of our Bridgewater, NJ location.

Catalent is a US multinational corporation with a small but capable Tax Department that manages the Company’s global corporate tax planning, reporting and compliance.  The Tax Manager role provides an opportunity to be part of a high performing team that works closely with finance and functional business partners on U.S. and non-US tax matters.


The role will have primary responsibility for quarterly and annual financial reporting for taxes as well as US tax return compliance.  The candidate can also expect to be part of global tax planning in the context of scenario modelling and quantitative analysis for M&A, business unit expansion and restructuring, evaluation of legislative
and regulatory change and other tax planning initiatives.

The Role:

  • Responsible for the company’s income tax reporting function, including the domestic and international tax provision, external reporting related to income tax accounts, and working with external auditors to reach resolution on tax provision issues. This includes all aspects of ASC740, purchase accounting, effective tax rate reconciliation, tax basis balance sheet, return to provision reconciliations, cash tax reporting, intercompany transactions, FIN48 reserves, APB23 assertion, valuation allowance assessment, and statutory tax matters

  • Review and direct the preparation of all US compliance matters including domestic and international aspects such as consolidated Form 1120, state and local tax returns, foreign subsidiary reporting Forms 5471, Forms 8858, foreign tax credit calculations, subpart F and GILTI income inclusions, FDII, CAMT, and Pillar II

  • The role is also responsible for earnings and profits calculations, maintaining tax pools, foreign bank account reporting, and FATCA

  • Assist in preparation of transfer pricing calculations and documentation

  • Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley including identifying and monitoring key tax controls

  • Partner with other members of the tax team to carry out global tax planning initiatives, including M&A, internal restructurings, supply chain and transfer pricing planning, foreign tax credit optimization, repatriation, cash management and other Treasury related initiatives, and local country tax planning opportunities

  • Enhance and develop tax computational models and analytics to support the company’s global tax planning strategies, one-off tax initiatives and potential audit issues/risks and tax exposures

  • Other duties as assigned

The Candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance,  required; Master’s Degree Taxation, preferred

  • Minimum of five  years  progressive  tax  experience  with  Big  Four/Large  public  accounting  firm,  and/or  a  large  multi-jurisdictional corporation experience

  • Fundamental knowledge of a broad range of US international tax rules and provisions, including Subpart F, GILTI, FTC, WHT, FDII, PTEP, and BEAT, required

  • Strong analytic and technical federal and international tax skills including experience in tax planning, M&A, international, transfer pricing, and comprehensive understanding and experience with complex transactions

  • Knowledge of ASC 740 and tax accounting

  • Expert  proficiency  with  MS  Excel,  Experience  with  OneStream  financial  reporting  software, Thompson Reuters OneSource Tax Provision and OneSource Tax Return preparation software

  • Individual may be required to sit, stand, walk regularly and occasionally lift 0-15 pounds


Pay:
 

New Jersey Posting
The anticipated salary range for this position in New Jersey is $106,380 - $162,500, plus bonus, when eligible. The final salary offered to a successful candidate may vary, and will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to: the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, skillset, education, business needs, etc. Catalent is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.
