Essential responsibilities:
Responsible for development and support of systems application software in adherence with Global payment standards, processes and best practices.
Promote engineering best practices and instill a team culture built on curiosity and collaboration.
Manage, mentor, and grow engineers on team, helping them advance their skill sets and careers.
Collaborate with product management and other engineering teams to build and deploy iterative solutions.
Help the team maintain focus on current priorities and commitments while promoting core values of Safe Agile software development.
Collaborate with other engineering managers and leaders to drive department-wide objectives.
You are expert with different application patterns to implement different types of business processes (e.g., APIs, event-driven-services, batch-services, web-applications, big data).
You have experience on Java, REST API, Google or AWS cloud, Jenkins, Spring, and one front end technology Angular/React.
You have experience working on Microservices and Cloud Native Architecture.
You have experience delivering major pieces of functionality on time and on-budget.
You have experience with different SDLC practices (Scrum/Kanban/SAFe) and the delivery situations they are used for
You have proficiency in using basic engineering principles for building and running mission critical software capabilities (security, customer experience, testing, operability, simplification, service-oriented architecture).
7+ years of software development and design experience
3+ years of experience acting as a technical lead/manager (mentoring and leading other engineers)
You have good communication skills – both verbal and written – with strong relationship building, collaborative skills and organizational skills.
Education: Educated to degree level in a relevant subject or IT related such as Computer Science, MCA, B Tech.
Work experience:
Minimum 10 years of Proven experience as an Enterprise software development in java and JS framework
Software Engineering, Information Systems or other technical degree; additional experience in lieu of degree will be considered.
Technical Skill:
Required: Advanced level of knowledge and experience-
3+ years of experience in leading development team in java and related Technologies
Strong knowledge of SAFe agile process
8+ years of strong development background in Java/J2EE Technologies
Strong experience in Core Java, Advanced Java, Design Patterns, Algorithms, Session
Knowledge of front-end languages and libraries (e.g. HTML/ CSS, JavaScript, XML, jQuery)
Management, OOPS concepts, data structure, Collections, interface, multi-threading
Experience in building API’s and web services (SOAP and Restful) & integrating with external applications
Experience in Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring Security)
Good exposure to C, C++
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written; should be able to collaborate across business teams (stakeholders) and other technology groups as needed
Experience in NO-SQL databases
Exposure to Payments industry is a plus
Desired Skills
Strong understanding of QA practices and automation.
Experience in administration and setup of any Message Broker like IIB, RabbitMQ etc.
Experience in Google cloud platform - GCP Pub/Sub, Datastore, BigQuery, AppEngine,
Compute Engine, Cloud SQL, Memory Store, Redis etc.
Experience with API Gateways - Datapower, APIM, Apigee etc.
