Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Manager of Supply Chain Programs 2 to join our Advanced Systems Operating Unit within the Advanced Mission Capabilities (AMC)  Business Unit. This position will be onsite at BWI in Baltimore, MD.

This position will provide Global Supply Chain support for multiple Production Product Lines. The position requires the individual to lead a team responsible for the cost, schedule, and performance of a wide range of suppliers. The individual will be responsible for mission success of their supply chain responsibilities and ensure their suppliers perform to the committed schedules, terms, conditions, and contractual requirements/specifications and drawings.

This management position will have direct professional reports, which entail day-to-day direction, oversight of the employee’s work product, and individual career development needs.  Position requires the ability to lead, recruit, motivate and develop a team. The candidate should understand the aspects of running the business and be able to interact/collaborate with Program and Business Management, Engineering, Operations, and Quality to cohesively drive successful program performance.

Core responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Position Responsibilities:

  • Management of a direct staff of 3 or more professionals consisting of Global Supply Chain Specialists
  • Support of OU Directors and Program Managers and close coordination with other functions
  • Provide guidance and training to ensure professionals are performing to or exceeding the expectation of their position and established management goals
  • Development of negotiation strategies, plans, and coordination to reduce cost and risk
  • Support of proposal activities
  • Oversite of Program cost and monthly forecasting/receipts
  • Develop a strong relationship with OU Business Managers to ensure cost goals and challenges are understood and supported.
  • Exhibits end-to-end supply chain competency within Supply Chain functions (Planning, Sourcing, Small Business Plan, Supplier Quality, Contracts, Analytics, Compliance, etc.)
  • Ensure recovery plans are actionable, measurable, and providing accountability to all stakeholders
  • Ensure the team is utilizing the appropriate metrics and leading indicators to manage and improve performance.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must have a Bachelor's degree and 8 years of related professional/military experience that includes a background in Supply Chain Management and/or Program/Project/Business Management, OR a Master’s degree AND 6 years of related professional/military experience that includes a background in Supply Chain Management and/or Program/Project/Business Management, OR High School Diploma/Equivalent and 12 years of experience of related professional/military experience that includes a background in Supply Chain Management and/or Program/Project/Business Management
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years experience leading a team, process, and/or projects from conception to completion – can be as a team lead, IPT, and/or manager
  • Experience in Earned Value Management
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite and SAP
  • US Citizenship
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret level clearance and Special Program Access

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Cost Account Manager (CAM) Certification
  • Direct experience interfacing with executive leadership and presenting at the executive level
  • Current Secret Clearance (including Interim-Secret)
  • Experience with developing complex agreements such as long term agreements, teaming agreements, strategic alliances, MOA's, overriding Terms and Conditions
  • Experience building and/or leading teams, interacting with multifunctional roles/department

Primary Level Salary Range: $139,800.00 - $209,800.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
