We are looking for you to join our team as a Manager of Subcontracts 2 based out of Salt Lake City, UT.
This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Position is full time in-person at our Salt Lake City campus.
Key Position Responsibilities:
Acts as the main procurement focal point for the entire supply chain and coordinates cross-functionally to ensure that all supply chain commitments are met, and that appropriate mitigation plans are developed and executed to address any programmatic risks related to suppliers
Participates in the material strategy and helps lead the activities for GSC in all phases of the Business Acquisition Process (BAP).
Manages teams to assist and ensure that prior to program execution, all elements of the proposed program(s) plans have complete and accurate schedules, budgets, make/buy plans, and procurement and subcontracts strategies.
Material cost and schedule management (EAC) using EVMS.
Leads supply chain contracting execution and is accountable for resource planning, material cost, forecasting, schedule performance, risk/opportunity management, supplier performance, and supply chain issue resolution.
Briefs Executive Management on the status and issues affecting Program cost and schedule performance.
Cross functional coordination as it pertains to supplier management, specifically with Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE), Planning, and the IPT
Experience with demonstrated leadership and people management skills and with the ability to model and promote a strong sense of engagement, teamwork, and cooperation
Material risk management, including identification, and mitigation planning and execution.
Briefs Program and Executive management and Customer on the status and issues affecting Supplier performance and cost.
Basic Requirements:
Bachelor's degree with 8 years of supply chain/business management/contracts/program management or Operations experience.
A minimum of 3 years of team lead and direct supervisory experience
Experience with general procurement, subcontract execution workflows, general manufacturing and purchasing workflows
Experience with forecasting and planning with an emphasis on driving supply chain
Must be a US citizen
The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
Preferred Requirements:
Master’s Degree with experience working in supply chain management including purchasing and procurement
Management experience overseeing complex teams and dynamic employees
Aerospace and defense experience
Experience with technical, manufacturing, or supply chain requirements for platforms or systems being delivered to US Government and International customers
Experience working in SAP, EVMS, and Tableau systems
Experience in complex supplier negotiations and managements
Program Management experience managing defense based programs
Cost Plus type and firm fixed price contracts experience
