External Partnerships serves as the strategic bridge between R&D operations and external laboratory partners, ensuring that outsourced testing is identified, established, and aligned with company quality, compliance, and operational standards. We manage vendor relationships end-to-end—from onboarding and contracting to project oversight and data delivery—while facilitating efficient assay development, qualification, and validation to meet critical timelines. Main responsibilities:
Vendor Identification and Setup
Identifies and establishes external vendors with applicable testing capability to as needed.
Works with Procurement and Site Quality Operations to ensure external vendors are in alignment with company standards and requirements relating to outsourcing.
Assists with the creation of Request for Proposals, Master Service Agreements, Quality Technical Agreements, and other legal and financial documentation as needed.
Works with Global Transversal Operations Support to onboard third-party (3PL) laboratories and external partnerships.
Strategic Partnerships Management
Acts as a Project Manager and is direct liaison between R&D operations and 3PLs.
Ensures external testing is adequately planned, monitored and delivered per project needs.
When required, ensures assay development, qualification, and validation is completed within defined timelines.
Leads routine or ad hoc joint meetings between R&D and 3PLs.
Ensures a good working relationship between R&D and the 3PLs.
Ensures quality data is being delivered to R&D.
Documentation
Authors or contributes to required documentation (work orders, protocols, reports) in support of technology/method development, optimization, qualification, validation.
Assists in investigation/troubleshooting of external methods and documenting the outcome.
Works with quality and compliance to ensure all quality documentation is filed appropriately and available for audit.
Business Operations
In coordination with functional planners, responsible for scheduling testing at CROs and ensuring accuracy of testing schedules.
Responsible for contributing to yearly external budget ensuring 3PL costs/spending is aligned with the forecasted budget and R&D financial objectives.
Reviews and revises processes and procedures to ensure accuracy and applicability.
About You
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in life sciences: microbiology, immunology, biochemistry or related scientific fields.
Minimum 1 year of experience with vendor management/external partnership.
Experience in Assay development/validation, knowledge of GLP/Quality and Compliance
PMP certification and Power Bi Knowledge are desirable.
Soft Skills
Teamwork and strong transversal collaboration, strong networking skills.
Ability to negotiate and influence stakeholders.
Solid communication skills (written and oral).
Adaptability in a highly changeable environment.

The salary range for this position is:
$85,500.00 - $123,500.00All compensation will be determined commensurate with demonstrated experience. Employees may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs. Additional benefits information can be found through the LINK.
