Position Overview
Vantage is seeking an experienced and solutions-focused Manager of Solutions Engineering to lead day-to-day activities within our Solutions Engineering team. The Manager will play a key role in guiding technical solution development, supporting customer needs, and collaborating across departments to drive delivery success. This position requires a team-oriented leader with strong technical acumen and solid organizational skills to effectively manage engineers and contribute to project outcomes. The Manager of Solutions Engineering will maintain a high standard of customer support and solution quality in alignment with business goals.
Essential Job Functions
Leadership and Strategy:
· Execute defined strategies for the Solutions Engineering team in alignment with company priorities.
· Manage and support a team of engineers, encouraging teamwork, skill development, and continuous improvement.
· Assist in identifying and planning engineering tasks and team objectives.
Customer Engagement:
· Interact with customers to gather requirements and help translate business needs into technical solutions.
· Serve as a point of contact for technical questions and assist in maintaining customer relationships.
· Participate in presenting solutions and technical overviews during customer meetings.
Technical Excellence:
· Coordinate the development and delivery of reliable and scalable solutions, ensuring alignment with internal standards.
· Support innovation within the team by adopting relevant technologies and development methods.
· Contribute to the application of best practices in project delivery and quality assurance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
· Partner with sales, support, and product teams to ensure alignment in delivering customer solutions.
· Facilitate communication between engineering teams and other departments.
· Help deliver customer feedback and insights to influence product enhancements.
Performance Management:
· Monitor work quality and delivery timelines to ensure team effectiveness and accountability.
· Conduct regular team check-ins and provide coaching to support performance and growth.
Additional Duties:
· Handle additional duties as assigned by Management.
Job Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, required.
· Minimum of 5–8 years of experience in solutions engineering or a related field
· Proven ability to support solution development and contribute to cross-functional engineering efforts.
· Strong technical foundation with working knowledge of engineering principles and system development.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for working with internal teams and customers.
· Solid leadership abilities with a hands-on approach to managing people and projects.
· Analytical thinking and problem-solving with a collaborative mindset.
· Familiarity with software development practices, project coordination, and quality control.
· Understanding of cloud services, infrastructure, and security fundamentals.
· Experience with development tools and modern programming frameworks.
· Travel required is expected to be up to 5% but may increase over time as the business evolves.
