The Manager role supports Cleveland Clinic’s Sleep Disorders Center, a comprehensive, multispecialty program dedicated to diagnosing and treating sleep disorders in children and adults. Accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, the center brings together experts in neurology, pediatrics, pulmonary medicine, psychiatry, psychology, otolaryngology, and family medicine. The Manager oversees clinical operations, staff development, and quality standards within this multidisciplinary environment.
A caregiver in this position works 8:00am—4:30pm or 9:00am—5:00pm.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Develop and deliver training for technical staff, fellows, and trainees; create performance standards, conduct reviews, and manage disciplinary and improvement plans.
Coordinate patient scheduling and staff assignments; supports efficient workflow and performs technologist duties as needed.
Provide technical consultation on new techniques, technology applications, and complex patient or equipment issues.
Oversee quality assurance, ensuring accurate data entry, adherence to policies, and compliance with preventative maintenance schedules.
Evaluate and recommend new equipment and supplies; maintain inventory and supports product assessment.
Assist with research projects, including study recording/interpretation, and maintain required CITI training.
Develop and update policies, procedures, in-services, and training guidelines; communicate revisions to staff.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Graduate of an Accredited Sleep Medicine Program
Registered Polysomnography Technologist (RPSGT)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
3 years of supervisory experience
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Bachelor Degree in Health Care Field
Supervisory experience in a sleep setting
Required Requirements:
Required full range of body motion including handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
Personal Protective Equipment:
Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
