Manager / Senior Manager, Process Excellence: Global Centers
The Manager / Senior Manager, Process Excellence is accountable for driving Process Excellence (PEX), Process Re-imagination, and AI Transformation initiatives throughout the organization by collaborating closely with diverse functional areas. This role entails mentoring Yellow Belt and Green Belt projects to ensure alignment with business objectives, as well as delivering and facilitating Lean Six Sigma training sessions to foster a culture of continuous improvement. The Manager / Senior Manager also leads strategic and high-impact PEX projects that deliver measurable value to the business areas and Thomson Reuters at large.
In addition, the position provides consultative support to functional teams on the development and execution of transformation strategies, partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to implement and advance process excellence initiatives. These initiatives and projects typically span several months and involve extensive collaboration with global teams across operations, technology, Centers of Excellence (COEs), and enablement functions. The role requires frequent engagement with project stakeholders and senior leadership to ensure successful project delivery and to drive organizational transformation.
About the Role
In this opportunity as Manager / Senior Manager, Process Excellence, you will:
Collaborate with global teams to address process excellence needs.
Mentor Yellow Belt and Green Belt projects to ensure alignment with business goals.
Deliver and facilitate Lean Six Sigma training sessions.
Lead high-impact Process Excellence (PEX) projects for measurable improvements.
Consult with operations on transformation strategy and roadmap development.
Drive process excellence initiatives across multiple functions.
Map roles to activities to pinpoint AI tool use, cases, and opportunities
Map current processes to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
Analyze data to uncover insights and areas for optimization.
Develop future state process maps for efficiency and effectiveness.
Facilitate workshops to identify AI and automation opportunities.
Partner with Centers of Excellence on initiatives to achieve targeted outcomes.
About You
You’re a fit for the role of Manager / Senior Manager, Process Excellence if you have:
Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field; MBA/advanced degree preferred.
10+ years’ process excellence experience, specializing in Lean Six Sigma and AI tools
Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification required.
Experience mentoring Yellow/Green Belt projects and delivering Lean Six Sigma training.
Skilled in leading high-impact PEX projects and strategic operations transformation.
Expertise in current state mapping, data analysis, and developing future state processes.
Strong collaboration with COEs and global stakeholders on targeted initiatives.
Experience in usage of AI tools for productivity such as copilot and LLMs
Experience running discovery workshops for AI and automation opportunities.
Knowledge of AI, ML, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
Proficient in Python, Microsoft Office, and process mapping tools.
Excellent written and verbal communication and active listening skills.
Effective at all organizational levels and working with cross-functional, remote teams.
Comfortable adapting to shifting priorities and driving change.
Willing to work flexible hours across time zones as needed.
