10The Team:
Transactions and Key Developments Data Stewardship team encompasses M&A, Offerings, Spin-off, Buyback, Bankruptcy transactions and Key developments dataset, and is responsible for supporting variety of product initiatives involving data ingestion and data flow across Capital IQ, Capital IQ Pro, Equity Deals Database and 451 Research products. The team deals in management of data & procedures, along with running multiple checks on the database for various metrics. The team is also involved in resolving client issues, which are escalated from time to time.
The Impact:
Majority of the data is collected in-house and is moved to various products through variety of delivery mechanisms. Transaction and Key Developments’ data forms a critical part of client workflows, especially Investment Banking clients.
Team is also currently ingesting vendor data, which in addition to self-sourced data gives immense value add to the clients.
In addition to driving variety of initiatives around building Capital IQ Pro, team is closely involved in supporting Xpressfeed products, which hold potential cross sales opportunities.

The role
Responsibilities:
Lead Transactions and Key Development project lifecycles
Translate business requirements into user stories and grooming the scrum teams.
Liaison with UAT testers, Scrum teams to ensure all the tasks meet accuracy standards apart from meeting the sprint deadlines.
Facilitate scrum events, i.e., sprint planning, daily scrums, retrospectives and stakeholder meetings
Understanding Transaction and Key Developments data structures and ensuing data flow across products is seamless.
Doing groundwork in gathering comprehensive business requirements to ensure there is least discovery of unknows during execution stage.
Act as SME, responsible for arriving at solutions to queries received around collection methodologies and client tasks.
Converting raw complex data into easy to understand and comprehendible information through data visualization.
Analyze and uncover inconsistencies in large amount of data (both in-house as well as supplied by third-party providers) by utilizing SQL knowledge and propose solutions to address them in S&P global products.
What We’re Looking For:
Basic Qualifications:
Graduate or Post Graduate Degree
7-8 years of experience in Data/Business Analysis related roles
Hands on experience in writing and developing complex to advanced SQL Queries
Good understanding of S&P Products such as Capital IQ Pro, CapitalIQ, Excel Plug Ins, etc.
Experience in Data Mining, Analysis and Visualization SAFe Agile concepts and working with Agile Scrum teams
Innovative and Effective Problem-solving skills
Team player with an ability to work independently, manage multiple projects across segments and cultures, and adhere to all deadlines
Comfortable to work in evening shift and flexible hours
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with Transactions/ Key Developments dataset
Working knowledge of Visualization Tools (Tableau, Power BI etc.) is desirable UAT experience on CIQ and CIQ Pro (both backend and frontend) structures is desirable
