Every day is a chance to learn something new and turn vacation inspiration into exceptional experiences for millions of travelers worldwide.The Manager of Special Events has the responsibility to create and implement programs and policies that assist with the growth and maintenance of the Special Events program while ensuring business best practices are aligned with Sales Operations goals. A critical focus of this position is expense management and ensuring proformas and forecasting are aligned with goals to increase program efficiencies. Reinforcing the goals and tactics with field partners while following the existing scalable and sustainable roadmap to drive efficiencies, will be essential.
Partnering with field personnel to identify opportunities within the program’s operation and developing solutions to take advantage of these opportunities will be the day to day objectives for the individual in this role. He/she will also oversee the implementation of these solutions/tactics. Coordination with other Corporate personnel will also be required to assist in the implementation of the developed tasks.
In addition, the Special Events Manager will be responsible for some of the coordination and planning of special events. Duties to include but are not limited to: research of vendors & supplying research information management for final selection; assisting with and obtaining contracts & signatures from vendors as required; merchandising support; preparation of all event invoices; follow-up to ensure payments have been made to all vendors in a timely manner; involvement with pre & post event e-mails & conference calls; and travel to event locations as required.

1. Support the development of lead and package strategies to provide the program with the best quality of leads through various lead generation efforts while maintaining the profitability of the tour.
2. Support the development of owner and prospect communication strategies and implementation.
This position is responsible for day to day management of the program’s expenses and ensuring the costs are kept down while the tour expectations are always met or exceeded.
Travel Requirements
Travel will absolutely be required in this position and is essential to success. Field presence will be 50% of the time.
