Role Overview

Reporting to the Director Procurement and Senior Legal Counsel, the Manager Sales T&E is responsible for ensuring that all travel and entertainment for the Sales Team is entered into our expense processing and client relationship management platforms in a timely and accurate manner. The Manager Sales T&E will manage a team of Sales T&E Analysts who support the Sales Team.

What You Will Do

  • Apply a strong understanding of the Fidelity’s Business Entertainment and Workplace Gift (BEWG) rules and National Instrument 81-105.
  • Identify issues with gifts and entertainment as they may arise to give feedback to Sales and, if necessary, escalate to Compliance
  • Train T&E analysts on Fidelity BEWG rules and National Instrument 81-105
  • Review the Sales T&E Policies and Procedures and update where required
  • Research, develop and implement new workflow processes and procedures where required
  • Communicate updates and any training on Policies and Procedures throughout the organization
  • Manage T&E Admin Team to ensure that they are adequately supported in their day-to-day activities.
  • Build effective relationships with the Sales Team to get work done in a professional, cooperative, and efficient manner
  • Act as liaison for Dalian T&E Team and build solid relationships
  • Conduct weekly meetings with Dalian Sales T&E g Team and act as liaison between FIC and Dalian on various matters (i.e., Sales T&E process changes, Sales Team changes etc.)
  • Liaise and communicate with Sales Management and Sales Teams on Sales T&E updates as needed.
  • Ensure information received from Sales Team is accurate and in good order
  • Communicate appropriate issues in a timely manner to Manager for resolution
  • Provide reporting on expense processing data and trends and compliance with T&E rules to management

What We’re Looking For

  • Post secondary degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience managing and/or coaching, mentoring people.
  • Understanding of National Instrument 81-105 and sales practices policies
  • Experience in the financial services/mutual fund industry is an asset
  • Preferable to have completed; or in the process of completing: Canadian Securities Course or Canadian Investment Funds Course

  • Base Salary: A competitive annual range of $65,000 to $100,000, based on your experience and qualifications.
