Job Summary
The Automotive Sales Development team partners with Sales to support advertiser strategy through data‑driven insights, consistent execution, compelling storytelling, and effective media solutions. This role leads an Automotive Sales Development pod of Advertising Strategists and Account Specialists, responsible for delivering high‑quality advertising strategy and executional support for Sales and automotive advertisers across T2 and T3.
This position is designed for an experienced Advertising leader who balances consultative partnership with operational excellence and process accountability. Success in this role is defined by the ability to support strong advertiser conversations, ensure consistent delivery of strategic recommendations and materials, and develop high‑performing teams that operate as effective Sales partners—not by direct selling or quota ownership.
Job Description
Core Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Influence
- Lead a regional Automotive Sales Development team, setting a clear vision for insight‑led advertising strategy.
- Serve as a strategic partner to Automotive Sales leadership, influencing go‑to‑market approach, advertiser positioning, and long‑term growth strategy.
- Elevate advertiser engagements from executional planning to outcome‑focused, business‑driven strategy discussions.
Advertising Strategy & Expertise
- Guide the development of full‑funnel advertising strategies rooted in data, audience insights, and market intelligence to support Sales planning and execution.
- Analyze and translate campaign performance data into clear insights, presentations, and reporting that support Sales conversations and advertiser decision‑making.
- Stay informed of automotive, media, and platform trends, sharing relevant insights to support Sales and advertiser needs.
Sales Enablement & Partnership
- Act as a primary enablement partner to Sales, supporting teams in addressing advertiser needs through consultative problem‑solving and informed recommendations.
- Partner closely with Sales to align on objectives, key accounts, timelines, and engagement priorities.
- Collaborate with HQ and cross‑functional partners (Finance, Media Planning, Campaign Management, Product, Measurement and Insights, etc.) to execute initiatives, manage workflows, and improve advertising effectiveness.
Operational Planning & Execution
- Oversee planning, prioritization, and execution of Advertising Strategy deliverables to ensure timely, accurate, and consistent support for Sales.
- Ensure adherence to established advertising processes, timelines, and quality standards.
- Monitor operational performance, workloads, and delivery metrics to maintain effective support across assigned Automotive accounts.
- Serve as an ongoing point of contact for Sales teams to address operational questions and resolve execution‑related issues.
Team Development & Operational Excellence
- Coach and develop Advertising Strategists and Account Specialists to deliver consistent, high‑quality strategic and executional support aligned with Sales needs.
- Establish and monitor performance standards focused on quality, accuracy, timeliness, and insight application.
- Oversee creation and maintenance of capabilities presentations, proposals, campaign reviews, and attribution reporting to ensure consistent standards and reusable best practices.
Organizational Impact
- Serve as a connector across Sales Development, Sales, and cross‑functional teams to ensure alignment, operational consistency, and clarity in advertiser planning and execution.
- Apply sound judgment and discretion in matters of significance, consistent with functional policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Preferred Experience & Capabilities
- Proven leadership experience in advertising strategy, media planning, or sales enablement.
- Deep understanding of automotive advertising (T2/T3 preferred).
- Strong executive presence and ability to influence without authority.
- Success leading teams in consultative, Sales‑enablement or advisory‑based support models.
- Expertise in translating data into advertiser‑centric strategic narratives.
- Ability to successfully lead and develop teams while managing multiple priorities and complex projects in parallel.
