Job Summary

We are seeking a highly capable Manager, Sales Compensation to join our Sales Compensation Strategy & Design organization. This role leads analytical workstreams that support the design, governance, and optimization of sales compensation programs that drive seller performance and align with business objectives. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical depth with leadership capability—consulting effectively with business partners, translating strategy into executable analytical work, and developing team members in a dynamic, fast paced environment.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to sales, operations, and HR leaders on sales compensation best practices, ensuring channel objectives are appropriately reflected in plan design components. 
  • Lead multiple concurrent workstreams focused on the design and governance of sales compensation plans for Comcast’s residential sales channels 
  • Clearly articulate compensation concepts, tradeoffs, and recommendations to both senior leadership and team level audiences. 
  • Connect business strategy and channel goals to required data inputs, modeling approaches, and plan design requirements. 
  • Demonstrate advanced technical understanding of compensation-related datasets, data structures, and modeling capabilities to validate team output and ensure analytical accuracy. 
  • Define analytical methodologies, challenge assumptions, and direct modeling approaches based on feasibility and business needs. 
  • Identify key data requirements for evaluating plan effectiveness, conducting scenario modeling, and informing proposed design changes. 
  • Act as the subject matter expert across assigned channels or plan components—resolving complex questions and guiding team execution. 
  • Anticipate risks, identify data anomalies early, and ensure the team escalates issues proactively with a solution-oriented mindset. 
  • Develop and grow team members by coaching on analytical rigor, communication skills, and prioritization. 
  • Delegate effectively to build capability, stretch skills, and strengthen team readiness. 
  • Recommend and implement process improvements—streamlining workflows, enhancing automation, and increasing efficiency across modeling and operational activities. 
  • Drive clarity in ambiguous environments by defining problem statements, articulating next steps, and aligning stakeholders. 
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required 

  • Strong experience in sales compensation analytics, sales operations, revenue operations, or a related function, with increasing levels of responsibility. 
  • Advanced analytical and modeling expertise using Excel, SQL, BI tools, or statistical environments. 
  • Demonstrated ability to consult with senior leaders, influence decision making, and communicate complex topics clearly. 
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, lead cross functional workstreams, and ensure accuracy under tight deadlines. 
  • Deep understanding of incentive compensation concepts, channel specific requirements, and sales commission operations. 
  • Experience reviewing, validating, and improving analytical work produced by others. 

Preferred 

  • Experience managing or mentoring analytical team members. 
  • Exposure to predictive modeling, automation tools, or advanced data manipulation frameworks. 
  • Knowledge of statistical concepts and/or broad-based compensation fundamentals (e.g., TTC, pay mix, ranges). 
  • Experience supporting complex or matrixed organizations. 
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., WorldatWork CSCP).
