The Manager, Risk Intelligence and Analytics Business Analyst will report to the Director, Risk Intelligence and Analytics in Global Risk Intelligence and Technology (GRIT) function, supporting Global Risk mission and vision. The role will be responsible for driving business analysis and solution design to enable effective reporting, automated and technical solutions (such as dashboards, apps and automated workflows). This also involves collaborating with development teams to implement enhancements, ensuring seamless user experience, and supporting the development and execution of strategic roadmaps for the function.
The incumbent’s role will focus on enabling effective reporting and automation solutions through strong business analysis and stakeholder engagement. Responsibilities include gathering and translating business requirements, analyzing data and processes, and partnering with development teams to design and implement enhancements. The role also supports testing and validation of solutions, ensures alignment with business objectives, and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives for optimal functionality and user experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Strong domain knowledge in one or multiple business domains, anticipate business information need
Proactively perform sophisticated descriptive & diagnostic analysis across wide dimensions of data.
Owns and delivers projects of diverse scope such as proactively seeking data sources, engineering dynamic / modern analytics interface, and involve data science stream when predictive / prescriptive analytics opportunities emerge.
Supports development and business implementation of analytics solution -
Drives the approach and Owns and manages tasks.
Develops and implements ad-hoc business analytics and reporting on projects of diverse scope.
Expert ability to identify business opportunities for efficiency improvement in business operations/process and business insights extraction by leveraging analytics.
Independently perform or lead analysis of complex business needs/requirements and identify end-to-end potential analytics solutions or insights needed.
Effectively and efficiently communicate analytics insights and solutions to business and facilitate/drive the execution/implementation.
Provide support to Risk and Technology Tooling team on data ingestion, clean-up, mapping etc. (e.g., data analysis, data clean-up, validation, creating and maintenance of reports and dashboards)
Identifying opportunities for creating efficiencies within reporting framework and processes.
Qualifications
Around 3-5 years of relevant experience
Knowledgeable in financial services, insurance, and technology risk management.
Proficient in Power BI and Power Platform (particularly PowerApps, PowerAutomate) for creating interactive dashboards, automating workflows, and developing custom applications.
Skilled in dashboard design with a focus on UI/UX.
Experience in big data analysis, including the use of Azure and Databricks to process and interpret large datasets.
Knowledgeable in database schemas, data modeling, and ETL processes, along with experience in automating data processes and implementing digital solutions.
Highly organized individual with strong time management and organizational skills.
Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
Excellent collaborative and relationship building skills; showing tact and diplomacy in dealing with others.
Ability to learn quickly and be comfortable with adjusting to ad-hoc changes in workflow.
