Business Description

The Enterprise Chief Controls Office (ECCO) is a centralized first line of defense (1LOD) group with the goal of embedding a culture of risk ownership and operational excellence to elevate the control environment. They do this by driving consistency and quality of risk practices to minimize loss and regulatory sanction, drive cost efficiencies, and accelerate project execution to enable growth. The Practice Management team serves to coordinate and drive consistency across 1LOD risk identification, controls, issue management, and non-financial-risk management practices.

Description of the Role

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Risk Governance and Engagement, under the newly formed Enterprise Chief Controls Office (ECCO) - the Manager, Risk Governance and Engagement, is accountable for developing and implementing governance structures, maintaining and enhancing governance documentation, and facilitating stakeholder engagement to ensure effective adoption of practice management protocols. This role involves coordinating working groups and forums to promote collaboration and continuous improvement in governance processes.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Execute Governance Processes (40%)
  • Drive Stakeholder Engagement (35%)
  • Support Continuous Improvement (25%)

What will you do?

  • Draft and maintain committee documentation, including the preparation of agendas, compiling briefing packages, meeting minutes, and tracking action items
  • Engage with stakeholders to gather insights and feedback, supporting the promotion and adoption of practice management protocols and practices
  • Organize and coordinate working groups, advisory sessions, and stakeholder forums, ensuring effective collaboration and information sharing
  • Analyze feedback and data to assist in identifying areas for process improvement
  • Implement changes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of governance processes
  • Support the development of metrics and reports to track progress and outcomes

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Risk Management or other related field.
  • Experience in preparing and managing committee documentation and executive messaging, such as agendas, executive communications and minutes
  • Advanced level of PowerPoint is critical to the role; must be comfortable working with ambiguity to create meaningful decks and narratives for senior audiences, with a keen eye for visual design
  • Familiarity with coordinating and facilitating meetings, workshops, or forums, and engaging with senior stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders across different levels of the organization
  • A self-starter, who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, feedback-heavy environment
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills

Nice-to-have

  • MBA, CRM, FRM, GRC or other related designations
  • Familiarity with risk management practices and protocols, particularly in relation to governance
  • Experience in project management or supporting project teams, including task coordination and timeline management
