Group Treasury, within Financial Services, is accountable for the management of non‑traded market risk across the Group, including interest rate, foreign exchange, funding and liquidity risks. The team also leads capital optimisation and balance sheet performance monitoring, executing funding and liability strategies in line with regulatory requirements.
As part of the Risk and Control Advisory team, you will work closely with Treasury and Markets stakeholders, as well as Line 2 and Line 3, in a collaborative, analytical and improvement‑focused environment.
Your impact
- Support Group Treasury in implementing and adhering to the Operational Risk and Compliance Management Frameworks.
- Ensure risks and obligations are accurately profiled, captured, reported and refreshed in response to trigger events.
- Design and implement effective controls to improve risk and compliance outcomes.
- Raise and manage Issues and Incidents, perform Root Cause Analysis, and support remediation actions.
- Deliver operational risk training to uplift risk awareness and culture.
- Partner with Line 2 and Line 3 teams to support reviews and audits.
- Support automation, process uplift and change risk assessments across Treasury.
- Prepare and deliver reporting on risk profiles, incidents, issues and controls.
- Engage across Group Treasury, Institutional Banking & Markets and the wider Group.
- Act in line with the Code of Conduct, setting the standard for risk‑aware decision making.
We’re interested in hearing from people who have
- Proven experience in a Line 1 Risk Advisory role with strong knowledge of Operational Risk and Compliance Management frameworks, including issue, incident, and change risk management.
- Ability to think critically and analytically, using data‑driven insights to identify risk issues and recommend solutions.
- Demonstrated accountability and confidence to challenge constructively in a risk and control environment.
- Strong influencing and consulting skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.
