Support Center - Irving
Under the direction of the Director of Construction and Store Development, the M Manager, Real Estate Store Planning & CAD Design is responsible for managing the workflow, team development, process improvement, and final review of work by the team executing each store’s layout and criteria in conjunction with the Construction Management team and key stakeholders. The role will be responsible for communication and collaboration with key partners in Space Planning to ensure prototypical fixture store layout plans align with key merchandising strategies, as well as management and support of the team by verifying and approving all plans with the CAD system of documentation and architectural and store layout files.
Major Activities
- Manage, assign, validate, and support the team responsible for creating Real Estate documents.
- Provides guidance for solutions/identifies restrictions as well as unique and diverse store layout designs and specifications for new, relocated, and remodel stores.
- Supports in the promotion of the company identity through designs that will enhance the experience for the customer.
- Manages, trains, and supports the team using AutoCAD, CAD files, and Architectural files to complete this work.
- Partners with Construction & Space Planning Management support team in collaborating with cross-functional teams and other key stakeholders to gather input and develop store layout design concept solutions, including Manager Store Design, Construction Managers, Real Estate Directors, and VP Store Development.
- Manages preparation and gives final approval for REC documents aligned with company deadlines.
- Reviews and supports the processing and replies to all redline field changes and Construction Manager direction, landlord, architect, and city comments by their team.
- Gives guidance that determines the most efficient space layout based on current prototype direction, customer needs, and projected sales volume.
- Supports their team to solve problems by working from the design criteria to find “out of the box” solutions.
- Trains & develops the team, leveraging solutions on specific challenging projects to promote growth across the team.
- Leads in the communication and conversations to expedite processes; creates and manages schedules to maintain priorities aligned with key stakeholders and their team.
- Develops strong lines of team communication and follow-up to ensure deadlines are met.

Minimum Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Minimum Education
- 4-year degree in a related field or equivalent 5+ years of experience (e.g., Architecture, Interior Design, Merchandise Planning)
Minimum Special Certifications or technical skills
- AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Project
- Design/space planning background-preferably in retail store layout design or commercial design
- Capable of reading, understanding, and maintaining architectural and store layout files
- Proficient in AutoCAD with experience in working with complex CAD files
- Understands how to read PDFs and convert them to accurate CAD files for layout purposes
Minimum Type of experience the job requires
- Experience leading a team of three or more individuals for 2-4 years
- 6+ years of experience in a related field (e.g., Retail Design, Merchandising, Commercial Construction)
- Strong organizational and project management skills to keep up with the workload and project requirements.
- Detail-oriented, able to compare different pieces of information to create accurate background files.
- Experience communicating to senior leadership

Preferred Special Certifications or technical skills
- Retail store experience-merch/fixture understanding and worked in a store to understand customer needs
- Has basic knowledge of ADA requirements
