What You Will Do:
The Manager, Quality Material Control Lab (MCL) will be responsible for providing leadership to North Berwick Aerospace Systems' MCL and support to MCLs across the business. The Manager, Quality Material Control Lab (MCL) will supervise hourly employees performing MCL activities and technical evaluations and lead and guide teams through change, fostering collaboration, and driving performance excellence in the processing of aerospace components
Perform audits of processing to assure conformance to applicable standards
Make metallurgical decisions on parts and processes
Review and control sub-tier processing as necessary to MCL standards; coordinate and communicate MCL activities throughout the organization; perform any other duties as defined in the MCL Manual to meet requirements within the facility
Apply CORE (Customer Oriented Results and Excellence), Lean and other continuous improvement techniques to develop and implement process improvement initiatives aimed at increasing quality, throughput and delivery integrity
Cultivate a culture of quality compliance and accountability throughout all manufacturing areas; support internal and external audits, as well as customer inspections, ensuring organizational readiness and timely closure of any findings
Drive effective root cause analysis (RCA) and ensure the implementation of corrective and preventive actions using CORE problem-solving methodologies; maintain and enhance Quality Management System (QMS) documentation, including work instructions, quality plans, and inspection procedures
Be flexible and available relative to department assignment available on all shifts
Travel less than 25%
Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 8 years' experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, materials lab, quality or similar environment OR a Master's Degree and minimum 5 years' experience, in an engineering, manufacturing operations, materials lab, quality or similar environment
In the absence of a degree, a High School Diploma/GED and minimum 12 years’ experience, engineering, manufacturing operations, materials lab, quality or similar environment
Demonstrated experience leading quality initiatives on a shop floor
Experience in a team leadership capacity including direct people management
Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Qualifications We Prefer:
Working knowledge of MCL practices, processes and procedures
Working knowledge of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) standards and regulatory compliance, including the Occupational Health & Safety Act
Experience with Operational Excellence frameworks (e.g., CORE) and continuous improvement methodologies
Demonstrated skill and success in team leadership, facilitation & coaching skills
Advanced analytical and statistical skills, with expertise in interpreting complex data to drive informed, risk-based decisions
Working knowledge of shop practices, processes and procedures
Working knowledge of new product and process technologies
SAP and Solumina

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
