Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Oversees clinical/research production personnel engagement and compliance with the laboratory Quality Management System. Provides thorough analysis and investigation to make recommendations for implementation, as well as provides guidance on effectiveness for areas needing improvement. May schedule personnel for production training, quality control checks or procedure review.
Handles various government, university (EH&S), and regulatory authority (College of American Pathologist) documentation. Writes/revises standard operating procedures and /or processes to ensure compliance with existing standards and best practices.
Monitors laboratory services and maintain records associated with services, equipment and testing. Completes quality control data analysis and database storage.
Manages laboratory quality control testing and provides Quality Assurance review.
Creates/maintains databases for document control, incident reporting, equipment management and may work with other related software or systems.
May prepare invoices and cost analysis.
Other duties as assigned.
