Your New Role:
The Manager, Program Management – L&D, WFM & Payroll is responsible for driving program execution, delivery governance, and portfolio oversight for HR Systems, and applications within Enterprise Technology. This role supports the HR Shared Services organization by ensuring predictable delivery, operational stability, and strategic alignment across systems including Workday Learning, ServiceNow HRSD, Infor Workbrain, and Case IQ.
This position owns the program management operating model, roadmap execution, and delivery governance for HR and Payroll platforms, partnering closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and vendors to ensure initiatives are prioritized, well-managed, and delivered at scale.
Your Role Accountabilities:
Program Planning & Strategy
- Manages the development of key strategic initiatives for the client’s information technology strategy. Ensures that implementations for projects and enhancements follow WBD standards. Lead and assist project team, key stakeholders, and management to prioritize business requirements and develop and maintain detailed project plans using standard tools.
- Own and manage the roadmap of strategic initiatives across the HR Technology portfolio (L&D, WFM, Payroll, Case Management, Service Platforms).
- Lead planning and execution of key HR Technology programs and projects, ensuring alignment with business priorities and enterprise standards.
- Define program scope, objectives, success metrics, sequencing, and delivery approach in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Establish short- and long-term roadmaps to improve operational efficiency, reduce total cost of ownership (TCO), and modernize application capabilities.
- Drive governance related to data quality, security, and compliance in alignment with WBD standards and regulatory requirements.
- Develop optimization strategies for SaaS and cloud-based platforms.
Stakeholder Engagement & Leadership
- Act as the primary execution partner for HR and business stakeholders across the L&D, WFM and Payroll portfolio.
- Facilitate stakeholder discussions, working sessions, and prioritization forums to align scope, expectations, and delivery timelines.
- Track and report on program health, milestones, risks, and outcomes with clear executive-level visibility.
- Prepare and deliver executive-ready materials including roadmap views, status updates, and decision support decks.
- Ensure decisions, risks, and actions are documented and followed through.
Resource & Financial Management
- Plan and manage program budgets, resource allocation, and capacity planning across initiatives.
- Balance internal and external resources to ensure effective coverage across delivery, support, and cutover activities.
- Partner with leadership to manage delivery within approved scope, funding, and timeline constraints.
- Support vendor due diligence, procurement activities, and SOW reviews related to HR technology initiatives.
Continuous Improvement & Operational Maturity
- Identify opportunities to improve delivery efficiency, operational processes, and support models.
- Drive automation, self-service, and process simplification initiatives where appropriate.
- Leverage metrics and reporting to improve predictability, transparency, and decision-making.
- Continuously evolve the program management approach to meet changing business and organizational needs.
Qualifications & Experiences:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 7+ years of experience leading complex technology programs across multiple platforms.
- 3–5 years of people and delivery leadership experience, including onshore and offshore resources.
- Proven success leading multiple end-to-end technology initiatives with significant business impact.
- Strong understanding of HR systems, including HCM, Payroll (union environments preferred), and integrations.
- Experience working with WFM, ERP, and SaaS platforms.
- Solid understanding of SDLC, delivery governance, and operational support models.
- Experience managing vendors, SOWs, budgets, and delivery outcomes.
- Strong executive communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives concurrently in a fast-changing environment.
Not Required but preferred experience:
- Project Management certification (PMP, SAFe, etc.).
- Agile / Product certifications (Scrum Master, CSPO).
- Entertainment industry experience.
- Familiarity with enterprise security, identity, access management, and cloud migration concepts.
