Join us as a Manager, Project Management - Central Labs and lead our team to ensure the successful execution of projects, drive operational excellence, and deliver high-quality results.
This is a fully remote role supporting our Global Central Laboratories. We welcome applicants from all locations within the US. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check, which includes a drug screening.

What You’ll Do:
Manage and motivate project management staff. Recruits, trains, develop, and assess employees' performance. Write, evaluates, amends and deploy procedures and SOPs in global alignment. Monitors SOP and key task compliance.
Serve as chief liaison between sponsor and all PPD internal departments performing the required tasks during the conduct of the study. Controls, manages and delegates day-to-day activities during the clinical trial to resolve any issues and answer queries.
Conducts regular face-to-face client meetings and continuously addresses client concerns and interpret needs to increase client satisfaction
Manage client and/or program level oversight and relationship to pro-actively address needs, expectations and modifications across similar studies.
Establish and advocate high-level customer service for clients and programs to support continued service and growth of relationships.
Plans and supports workflow of team members. Perform as a mentor and trainer, identifies and coaches on areas for development and efficiencies in performing tasks. Author, review, revise and implement relevant procedural documents
Serve as a back-up for the Associate Director PM, when needed and advises on action plans.
Key Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification
Previous experience provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 5+ years).
1+ year of leadership responsibility
Previous leadership experience in central lab environment preferred
In some cases an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Strong verbal, written and presentation skills
Solid Microsoft Office skills for analysis and presentation of data
Critical thinking skills to support quality decision making
Advanced knowledge of project management theories, principles and best practices relating to lab operations
Strong attention for detail orientation and compliance with procedures and policies
Effective client relationship management skills
Strong supervisory and management skills with ability to work effectively at all levels
Proficient in problem solving and prioritizing
Strong analytical and quantitative skills
Ability to multi-task and handle pressure
