Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Manager Project Management 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals on our F-35 program. This leadership opportunity is located onsite in Redondo Beach, California.

The Manager Project Management 2 is responsible for leading a high-performing team of project managers, data analysts, and technical personnel responsible for a large suite of process improvement initiatives, tools, and analytics dashboards in support of the F-35 program. This role oversees technology roadmaps, process improvement roadmaps, tools development, data and process architecture, automation initiatives, and IT service delivery. The manager ensures secure, reliable, and uninterrupted program operations while driving innovation, digital transformation, and alignment with business and customer objectives.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead a multidisciplinary team of project management and technical professionals supporting major aerospace program initiatives
  • Manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management
  • Review status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports.
  • Assess project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
  • Manage and develop staff, including hiring, coaching, mentoring, and performance management
  • Define and execute projects, information systems and enterprise data architecture strategies aligned with program objectives
  • Lead Agile portfolio and program execution, including backlog prioritization and implementation of projects
  • Direct the full lifecycle of business applications, process improvement initiatives, data systems, integration activities, and automation capabilities
  • Oversee IT service delivery performance, ensuring availability, resilience, cybersecurity, and customer satisfaction
  • Identify technology gaps and deploy scalable, enterprise-class digital solutions
  • Coordinate cross-functional integration activities across IPTs and enterprise stakeholder groups
  • Provide strategic leadership, decision authority, risk management, and issue resolution
  • Prepare and deliver senior-level briefings; represent the organization at program and executive reviews

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of related experience as defined below, OR a Master’s degree and 6 years of related experience as defined below
  • Related experience includes professional and/or military experience to include a background in project management, information technology or software development.
  • Demonstrated experience directing development and implementation of process improvement initiatives, business applications or enterprise data systems
  • Experience managing the full software development lifecycle and Agile delivery methodologies

Preferred Qualifications

  • Expertise in above-shop-floor processes supporting the F-35 program
  • Professional Scrum Master (PSM), SAFe, or other Agile certification
  • Experience delivering scalable enterprise data architectures and automation solutions
  • Hands-on SQL Server experience and applied data analytics execution
  • Proven ability to lead, inspire, and develop technical and project management teams
  • Demonstrated change leadership with measurable organizational improvement outcomes
  • Strong record of continuous learning and staying current with emerging technologies and project management practices
  • Ability to set strategic direction while also engaging at the detailed level to design sustainable solutions
  • Proven ability to manage cost, schedule, and technical performance across complex project scope
  • Proven ability to communicate clearly and influence effectively across diverse, cross-functional teams and leadership levels

Primary Level Salary Range: $133,100.00 - $199,700.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
