Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Program Manager 3 within the Air Dominance Division F-35 Business Unit. This leadership opportunity is located inside the Lockheed Martin (LM) facility in Fort Worth, Texas.

This senior position leads the Post Delivery Support Program (PDSP) team which facilitates the successful integration of the NGAS produced Center Fuselage and related products into the build of the F-35 at the Lockheed Martin facility in Ft. Worth, TX.

The PDSP team leader directs a small, diverse Engineering and Manufacturing support team embedded inside the LM F-35 factory and serves as the primary on-site customer point of contact and regular interface with the customer at all levels of Production, Quality, and the Program Office.

Candidate will be responsible for management at the Program Level.  

  • Works collaboratively with risk owners and associated CAMs to meet risk mitigation and opportunity development commitments,
  • Executes a proactive risk identification process and to understand and evaluate new affordability opportunities and developments
  • Ensure adherence/compliance of program process against corporate and sector procedures
  • Verify and support all aspects of corporate, sector and DCMA audits on the risk, issues, and opportunities process

Primary responsibilities include:

On-the-Jet Manufacturing and Engineering Support - Covering the full assembly and flight line; providing two-shift coverage M-F with on-call weekend and holiday support.

NGAS Defect Reduction – Escape Identification and Eradication - Includes on-site Rework/Repair of NGAS escaped defects and drives closed loop corrective action back to the PAIC.

General Support – Provides build expertise to the LM assembly line, adjudicates LM Quality Assurance Records (QARs), supports PRs/PAIRS/ AEAs, facilitates early cut-in of manufacturing/ design change, and works hand in hand with LM personnel at all levels.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 10 years (or Bachelor of Science in STEM and 9 years) of related experience as defined below, OR a Master’s degree and 8 years (or Master of Science in STEM and 7 years) of related experience as defined below
  • Related experience includes professional and/or military experience to include a background in project management, program management, engineering, capture efforts, and/or business management related functions
  • Must have at least 5 years in a leadership position and/or in developing teaming relationships with the LM customer/ Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA)/ Joint Program Office (JPO)
  • Must be able to travel 25% of the time as determined by the Company to meet its business needs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and influence teaming relationships with the LM customer and DCMA
  • Experience/ familiarity with aircraft production, supply chain, engineering, and product support
  • F-35 Program Familiarity
  • Familiarity with LM and NGAS F-35 Production, Quality, and Engineering organizations and systems

Primary Level Salary Range: $184,300.00 - $276,500.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
