Condé Nast is seeking an intellectually curious individual who is eager to dive into various advertising analytics and optimization challenges in our multi-brand digital advertising business for our team in Munich

The Manager, Programmatic Strategy, Western Europe will serve the Global Monetization Strategy team through actionable intelligence, rigorous data management, and insightful data visualizations. The Manager, Programmatic Strategy, Western Europe will partner with internal stakeholders to provide data-driven recommendations to support key business decisions. 

Responsibilities will include: 

  • Lead and develop ad analytics efforts supporting advertising growth across all revenue channels through collaboration with Campaign Management, Programmatic Account Management, and Ad Product team, and others to implement yield solutions and recommendations 

  • Responsible for the creation and maintenance of reporting models and insights for advertising initiatives, which can include the production of revenue models, and the assessment of new and speculative ad product initiatives.

  • Monitor and conduct ongoing analyses around trends in ad density, revenue, and monetization.

  • Develop quantitative analyses, ad hoc reports, models, and A/B tests to support advertising decisions.

  • Provide key business insights, and visualizations when applicable, for Ad Product and Digital Operations leadership based on performance trends.

  • Collaborate with team to convey needs for ingestion of new data sources and  support the routine reporting of key analytical information.

  • Maintain strong understanding of ad platforms, data sources, and Digital Operations workflow, relying on these various inputs to develop data-driven recommendations for improving yield or operational efficiencies.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Fluent in English

  • BA/BS degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience

  • 3 to 5 years digital advertising, yield, or analytics experience

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to clearly synthesize large data sets

  • Proficiency in complexities of digital advertising marketplace, including both direct and programmatic channels

  • Experience with Excel, Google Analytics/Omniture, and business intelligence tools (Tableau, DOMO, Qlik, etc.)

  • Deep familiarity with ad-serving platforms (Google Ad Manager, FreeWheel, etc.)  and order management systems (FatTail Adbook, Operative, etc.)

  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to translate quantitative details into clear, succinct summaries and recommendations for peers, sales, and executive audiences

  • Self-driven with ability to multi-task and work with minimal supervision in a deadline-oriented environment
