What is the opportunity?

As a key member of the RBC Capital Markets Productivity & Efficiency (P&E) Advisory in CFO Group, you will support our strategic efficiency efforts across businesses and functions. Our mandate is to be a strategic finance partner for Capital Markets COO group to enhance cost transparency and introduce new ways of identifying efficiencies to enable continuous investment in future growth.

This role will serve as the central owner of the P&E benefits framework, responsible for establishing governance, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of benefits tracking, and acting as the source of truth for all P&E initiative benefits.

The successful candidate will combine financial rigor, structured thinking and strong project management to ensure benefits integrity throughout the initiative lifecycle. The role will also contribute to the development of strategic initiatives and leadership reporting that supports decision-making across Capital Markets.

What will you do?

  • Establish and maintain the governance framework and control processes for P&E benefits tracking, ensuring accuracy and completeness across initiatives.
  • Act as the central owner and source of truth for all P&E benefits and initiatives. Design and manage the end-to-end benefit lifecycle, as well as coordinating across stakeholders to ensure timely updates.
  • Provide advisory support to stakeholders on best practices for benefit quantification.
  • Support the development and execution of P&E initiatives across Capital Markets.
  • Translate complex messaging into actionable insights and compelling executive narratives.
  • Building reporting capabilities while simultaneously champion data integrity initiatives.

What you need to succeed?

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Finance, strategy, business analytics or other similar discipline.
  • Be able to leverage AI to boost productivity. Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is required. Proficiency in Tableau and Python is preferred.
  • Strong financial analysis and modeling skills, with the ability to evaluate and quantify benefits from strategic initiatives.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and integrity.
  • Strong structured thinking and problem-solving ability, particular when working with ambiguous or incomplete information.
  • Ability to translate analytical insights into clear, concise executive-level narrative.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and deliverables.
  • High level of ownership and accountability, with the ability to independently driver work from concept to completion.
  • Stay curious and skeptical, with the ability to question assumptions and validate outcomes.
