Job Description Summary

               

The Manager Production Monitoring System is responsible for leading the global deployment, management, and continuous improvement of the company’s Production Monitoring program. This role oversees the standardized implementation of Plex across all manufacturing sites, ensuring aligned methodologies, consistent loss analysis data, and sustained operational adoption.

This position will partner closely with IT, site manufacturing teams, engineering, and operational excellence leaders to ensure reliable system performance, strong user engagement, and effective utilization of production monitoring insights to drive business results.

Job Description

Global Program Deployment & Management 

  • Lead the global rollout of Plex Production Monitoring across existing and new manufacturing sites. 

  • Define and maintain global standards, governance, and best practices for loss analysis data and production monitoring methodologies. 

  • Coordinate implementation of activities, timelines, and change management efforts with site and corporate stakeholders. 

  • Conduct post deployment reviews to ensure system effectiveness and site readiness for sustainment. 

Systems Integration & Technical Collaboration 

  • Partner with IT resources to ensure system configuration, data flows, interface stability, and cybersecurity requirements are met. 

  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, coordinating with IT and Plex support as needed. 

  • Identify opportunities to enhance functionality, reporting, and data visualization within the platform. 

System Configuration, Data Enablement & Go-Live Readiness 

  • Lead the functional configuration of Plex Production Monitoring for each manufacturing site, including production line structures, equipment models, shift definitions, loss hierarchies, and standard downtime classifications. 

  • Define and maintain global configuration standards while ensuring site specific operational realities are accurately represented within the system. 

  • Own the strategy and execution for initial production monitoring data setup, including historical data requirements, data cleansing, validation, and initial system loading in support of site go-lives. 

  • Develop scalable and efficient approaches for production data ingestion, in partnership with IT, to ensure reliable, performant, and maintainable data flows from manufacturing systems into Plex. 

  • Establish go-live readiness criteria related to system configuration completeness, data accuracy, and operational usability; validate that criteria are met prior to site cutover. 

  • Serve as the primary functional authority during deployment and stabilization phases to resolve configuration, data, and usability gaps impacting successful adoption. 

Data Integrity & Performance Insights 

  • Ensure consistent, accurate, and standardized collection of production and loss analysis data globally. 

  • Develop and maintain performance dashboards, KPIs, and analytics to support operational decision-making. 

  • Monitor system usage, data quality, and compliance across sites; provide targeted coaching or intervention when needed. 

Training, Adoption & Continuous Improvement 

  • Build and deliver training materials, user guides, and onboarding support for site teams. 

  • Drive strong and sustained adoption of the Production Monitoring program across all manufacturing sites. 

  • Facilitate user groups, communities of practice, and best practice sharing globally. 

  • Continuously assess program effectiveness; recommend enhancements to improve value, usability, and operational impact. 

Basic & Preferred Qualifications

Education/ Certifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience) required. 

 

Skills and Experience:  

  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, production systems, digital manufacturing, MES, or related technical functions required. 

  • Experience supporting or implementing production monitoring systems such as Plex, MES, OEE tools, or IoT/automation platforms required. 

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, loss accounting, OEE, and operational KPIs.  

  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross functional projects across multiple sites or regions.  

  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into action.  

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and nontechnical audiences. 

  • Experience with global or multisite deployment of enterprise manufacturing systems. 

  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and rootcause analysis methodologies. 

  • Experience influencing without authority in matrixed organizations. 

  • Familiarity with changemanagement frameworks and training development. 

 

Physical Environment/Demands: 

  • Travel up to 75% of the time to plant manufacturing sites  

  • Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment 

  • Incumbent may sit for long periods of time at desk or computer terminal 

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.   

  • Incumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephone and other office equipment in the course of normal workday 

  • Stooping, bending, twisting and reaching may be required in completion of job duties 

  • Exposure to manufacturing environments for up to 8 hours per workday to include:  loud noise, excessive heat, cold, wet, slippery conditions, dirt, fumes, smoke, smells and allergies   

  • Valid Driver’s License and driving record that meets Lamb Weston Driving Standards

This compensation is specific to this position and takes into account a number of variables. Actual compensation may be higher or lower in the range posted based on various factors, including, but not limited to, job duties, experience and expertise. A candidate's work location could also impact the actual compensation being outside of the range to reflect local cost of labor. A reasonable annual estimate of the range for this role is listed below.

               

Pay Rate or Range: $113,930.00 - $170,900.00
