About the Role
We’re looking for a Product Excellence Lead to bring structure, discipline, and speed to how Mastercard develops and commercializes products in Latin America.
This role focuses on three priorities: portfolio governance, priority product execution, and customer insight integration. You will ensure that the region operates with clear standards, strong visibility, and consistent decision-making frameworks.
You will work across product, sales, and global and regional leadership to improve prioritization, accelerate go-to-market readiness, and strengthen product–market fit.
This is a high-exposure role for someone who can operate at both strategic and execution levels, with strong ownership and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
What You’ll Do
1. Drive Portfolio Governance & Prioritization
a. Structure and operationalize governance across the regional product portfolio
b. Lead quarterly product reviews to drive prioritization, resource allocation, and decision-making
c. Build clear portfolio views, identifying trade-offs, risks, and growth opportunities
d. Ensure consistent adoption of product management standards across markets
e. Translate complex data into clear, structured recommendations for senior leadership
f. Identify structural bottlenecks and implement scalable frameworks to improve decision-making and execution
2. Enable Priority Products GTM & Scale
a. Drive readiness and prioritization of priority products (e.g., Big Bets)
b. Develop market validation scorecards to assess scalability and investment decisions
c. Define and operationalize go-to-market readiness frameworks across product, sales, and delivery
d. Identify execution gaps and drive actions to accelerate time to market
e. Partner with cross-functional teams to align on execution plans and ensure delivery discipline
3. Embed Customer Insight & Market Validation
a. Establish and scale the LAC Customer Feedback Framework
b. Translate customer and market insights into actionable recommendations
c. Ensure feedback loops are embedded into product development and GTM decisions
d. Challenge product assumptions using data and market evidence
e. Represent LAC priorities in global discussions, ensuring regional insights shape decisions
All About you
• 7+ years in consulting, strategy, product management, or program management in financial services, tech, or related industries
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to structure complex, ambiguous challenges
• Experience building frameworks, governance models, or operating structures
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive decisions
• Strong analytical skills; able to translate data into clear business recommendations
• Comfortable operating across multiple markets and cross-functional teams
• High ownership, attention to detail, and ability to execute at speed
• Fluent in English and Spanish; Portuguese is a plus
