Job SummaryThe Manager of Processes and Standardization will lead and drive process development and optimization initiatives across the Major Projects Generation Construction department. The role is critical in enhancing project engineering efficiency and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The Manager of Processes and Standardization is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of project engineering processes and documentation. The Manager will lead a team of individuals that will work closely with subject matter experts to diagnose, design, and deliver on process improvement opportunities.
Essential Functions- Work closely alongside business partners during various generation major project initiatives during initial development and planning needs to ensure proper actions are incorporated within project engineering department roles and responsibilities.
-Drive and direct a culture of continuous improvement while assuring execution in the establishment of systems, processes, and protocols that the project engineering team will operate within the Major Projects Generation Construction department.
- Sets direction and assures execution in the implementation of various standardization initiatives pertaining to project engineering processes and protocols. These initiatives/projects will require project charters (problem statements, scoping, benefits, milestones, financial impacts, and schedules). In addition, ensure that communication plans are developed and incorporated within the process.
- Develop the processes and tracking tools to ensure engineering processes are implemented accurately and documented for record keeping purposes.
- Coaches and mentors project engineers and business partners to department processes and protocols through various department deliverables.
- Develop and accountable for the annual strategic work plan including the team’s budget and project forecast.
- Sets direction and provides resources to staff in the establishment and execution of auditing internal processes to ensure compliance and continuous improvement opportunities.
- Develop and drive the monthly process and standardization meetings to provide updates on completed key milestones, forecasted look ahead, and risk mitigation plans for current initiatives. In addition, provide relevant details on upcoming initiatives.
- Development and oversight of the project engineering document management system.
- Assures staffing levels to support the department’s participation as emergent projects break into the planned work plan to support progression of prioritized objectives.
Leads a team with ability to coach, develop, and performance manage. Required Qualifications For PositionBachelor's Degree organizational management, business, communications or other related four-year degree. 1-3 years - Experience in navigating with teams in a matrixed organization - Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and bringing together various business partners to ensure collaboration to plan and execute work.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and assimilate new information.
- PC Tool Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Power Point, and Teams
Preferred Qualifications
- 7 years of experience within the electric or gas utility market.

$133,400.00 - $200,100.00
*The salary offered to a candidate is based on several factors including but not limited to the candidate’s skills, job-related knowledge, and relevant experience, as well as internal pay equity.
