Summary of Role:
GlobalFoundries Fab 8 is seeking highly skilled and motivated technical Process and Equipment Controls Manager to become part of our 300mm factory in Malta, NY. You will be responsible for overseeing the PEC organization consisting of a group of controls engineers. This role is fully on site.
Essential Responsibilities:
Ensure a safe work environment and help build a culture where safety is the top priority.
Provide day-to-day operational support, direction, & prioritization for the Process Engineering Controls team.
Establish and execute a controls roadmap comprising APC, FDC, and other control systems.
Collaborate with contractors, service providers & vendors.
Drive Fab8 line yield improvements through enhanced sensors and Mean Time to Detect (MTTD).
Drive Fab8 improvements in efficiency and automation, as well as develop new factory systems capabilities.
Support training to build controls applications super users and champions within the factory process and equipment engineering teams.
Identify & implement methods to control costs while sustaining and improving operational systems for Fab operations.
Directly interface with GlobalFoundries Information & Technology (GFIT) on systems support and change management.
Establish a work environment characterized by mutual trust and respect, open and honest communications, teamwork, and a passion for winning.
Administer employment policies and procedures to cultivate a positive & productive work environment.
Actively participate in work teams and committees that are established to improve the overall efficiency or safety performance of the fab.
Lead continuous improvement projects to optimize processes with regards to equipment stability, cost per wafer pass, and quality.
Complete performance evaluations and career development plans.
Support Fab8’s efforts in building a world class organization, achieving manufacturing excellence and establishing a team based collaborative culture programs.
Other Responsibilities:
Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
Other duties as assigned by manager / supervisor.
Required Qualifications:
Education - Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Solid State Physics, or related discipline.
Experience - Minimum 8 years people leadership experience in semiconductor manufacturing.
Language Fluency - English (both Written & Verbal) .
Travel Requirements: 0-5%
Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, energetic and self-starter.
Demonstrated ability to communicate well with all levels of the organization.
Strong organizational skills along with demonstrated ability to manage a multi-disciplinary engineering team.
Fluency in all Microsoft 365 Applications (Excel, Outlook, Teams, CoPilot, Word, PowerPoint).
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and able to react to shifting priorities to meet business needs.
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and commitments.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Solid State Physics, or other relevant engineering physical science discipline.
Previous Supervisory Experience in a Production Semiconductor Environment and/or engineering management experience.
Ability to understand complex automated systems and human interactions.
Expected Salary Range
$107,400.00 - $204,500.00The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.
