What is the opportunity?
RBC Cards is the leading credit card business in Canada and is a strong contributor to RBC Personal Banking and Commercial Banking’s financial and client growth. In this role, you will be responsible for driving forward the strategic roadmap for RBC’s Avion Credit Card portfolio with a specific focus on expansion and growth opportunities to our value proposition. In this role, you will focus on management of our existing product suite and support delivery of the new products and to drive acquisition, grow balance and purchase volume, to increase product profitability.
What will you do?
P&L management for the Avion portfolio supporting strategy, forecasting, product features and development, promotion, pricing and process enhancements for revenue optimization
Support management in all stages of the product development and management lifecycle and/or support development and implementation of key initiatives.
Provide Avion Cards team line of sight to the performance and health of the portfolio
Monitor and deliver competitive benchmarking reporting on competing card products across the travel cards landscape with consideration to notable competitive products outside of the Canadian context; Competitive bench marketing is coupled with a strategic view for the cards team of potential new product strategies including product benefits, pricing and service.
Provide insight for acquisition, sales, client engagement, and retention strategies to ensure alignment with product strategies and maximize profitability of the portfolio
What do you need to succeed?
Must have:
Strategic Mindset - ability to think strategically, integrate information from multiple sources and synthesize complex issues
Track record of leadership and excellence in analytics, modeling and strategy execution
Strong ability to achieve results in the context of complexity, ambiguity and constant change
Highly organized with ability to multitask and shift priorities
Excellent critical thinking skills with ability to resolve issues through innovative solutions
Well-developed interpersonal and influencing skills to build and maintain effective working relationships and elicit cooperation from internal partners
Excellent communication skills (listening, understanding and responding)
Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint
Nice to have:
Experience in the business management of credit card products
Experience in a marketing related environment.
