JD for Ports and Maritime Manager – Indonesia
Responsibilities:
Develop business plan and strategy to enhance Surbana Jurong / SMEC presence in Indonesia Port and Maritime Sector.
Work jointly with sub-regional lead to develop budget.
Develop marketing strategy and deploy marketing campaign within approved budget.
Engage Port and Maritime clients in Indonesia. Lead the discussion with clients to appraise SJ/SMEC P&M capabilities.
Build strategic relationships with key clients.
Liaise and manage stakeholders, such as clients, design team, site team and other relevant parties.
Lead vendor registration process for potential Ports and Maritime clients in Indonesia.
Act as a bid manager and lead tender submission. Work closely with sub-regional lead on internal approval process for tender submission.
Lead team of engineers and draftspersons.
Act as project manager and project reviewer for successful delivery of the projects.
Ensure all engineering works comply with all relevant statutory standards, regulations and Codes of Practice and maintain high quality standards of design, supervision as well as guiding junior engineers.
Assist sub-regional lead for internal reporting requirements.
Requirements:
Bachelor of Engineering in either Civil / Coastal
Preferable, Masters of Engineering in either Structural or Geotechnical
Total 12 to 15 yrs of experience.
Minimum 5 years for experience in coastal / port development projects in Indonesia
Experience in Business Development and Tender Preparation
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to build rapport
Experience in port design or port construction management will be preferred.
Willing to take up multiple role such as Business development / Bid Management / Project Management
