About the role

We are currently looking for a Manager - Planning who will be responsible to lead all aspects of project planning, scheduling, monitoring, risk analysis, and reporting. The role ensures that project timelines remain achievable, realistic, and measurable, and that all deviations are highlighted early for management intervention.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review all available project data including existing schedules, drawings, procurement plans, productivity records, progress reports, and delay analyses to understand the current project status.
  • Develop and establish the updated Master Program covering design coordination, procurement, construction, testing & commissioning, handover, and project closeout activities.
  • Break down the project into a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and define activities, durations, sequencing, logic links, and dependencies.
  • Incorporate all contract requirements, milestones, deliverable dates, and Client-imposed constraints into the approved baseline schedule.
  • Identify and map critical path activities, near-critical activities, float margins, and project’s risk-sensitive elements.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and milestone-based progress reports with detailed analysis of progress vs plan.
  • Develop the procurement schedule in coordination with the QS, MEFP, Civil, and Project Architect to ensure timely material and equipment availability.
  • Identify slippages, delays, productivity issues, and out-of-sequence activities, and provide early warnings to the Project Director and Client. Review contractors’ detailed construction programs and ensure alignment with the project’s Master Program.

About You:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or a related engineering discipline. Master’s degree in project management or related field is an added advantage.
  • Professional training or certification in project planning/scheduling (Primavera P6, MSP, PMP, PMI-SP) is highly preferred.
  • Minimum 15 years of proven experience in construction planning and scheduling within PMC, EPC, contractor, or consultancy environments.
  • Demonstrated experience in planning for building construction projects (academic, commercial, institutional or similar).
  • Hands-on experience in delay analysis, EOT evaluation, progress monitoring, recovery planning, and schedule risk analysis.
