Manager, Pharmacy Growth and Retention

Position Summary
The role of Manager, Pharmacy Growth and Retention will execute the plan set forth by the Director, Pharmacy Growth and Retention through customer acquisition and retention excellence. This Manager will participate in implementation of retention plans, ensuring alignment with broader organizational goals while fostering strong partnerships. Success in this role requires a high level of agility, strategic thinking, and the ability to influence across a matrixed organization. It is pivotal for this Manager to deliver results, drive strategy, and execute the vision.

Primary Responsibilities –

  • Support acquisition execution and retention efforts – assist in the day-to-day execution of acquisition initiatives while contributing to strategies that enhance customer retention
  • Contribute to growth strategy development and retention tracking – collaborate on the ideation and refinement of growth strategies, including the design and monitoring of retention metrics and performance indicators
  • Assist in retention tactic implementation – provide operational support for the rollout sand management of retention-focused tactics across relevant channels
  • Partner on leadership and pharmacy growth communications – co-develop presentation materials and visual content for leadership updates and pharmacy growth initiatives

Leading a Team and Executing the Plan

  • Must be able to partner with the Director to execute a plan designed to drive acquisition, retention, and readiness across multiple business units
  • Establishing deep cross-functional relationships throughout the Enterprise to ensure solutions and initiatives are effectively executed as designed
  • This role must remain agile and drive innovative thinking by successfully building and implementing a wide variety of approaches for a multi-faceted retention strategy to include modern technology and innovative processes.
  • Partner across departments in the Enterprise (Store Operations, marketing, growth, field) to support the execution of project plans
  • Leads and participates in meetings/calls with corporate partners and retail executives
  • Follows up on initiatives and KPI performance
  • Navigates ambiguity by being open to change/shift in direction and pivoting work when needed, pushing through obstacles and asking leader(s) for help when needed
  • Utilizes storytelling and presentation skills to provide updates, insights, and recommendations to leaders
  • Impacts and influences by making strong recommendations with data and insights to support

Understanding and Implementing Processes

  • Fully embraces organizational improvement initiatives, acting as a change agent with one’s own team and peers.
  • Leverages a results-oriented mindset, using metrics to monitor improvements.
  • Supports reporting and metrics distribution to multiple cross functional partners.
  • Provides both constructive and positive feedback on new initiatives to appropriate teams. Look for ways to break through implementation barriers rather than by impeded by them.
  • Delivers results by driving efficient and effective execution of product/strategy/deliverable, leveraging peer network to gain consensus and collaborate for a better solution

Patient and Colleague Experience

  • Ensures strong communication channels throughout all levels of leadership, patients, and colleagues with our retail stores, inclusive of consistent follow-up with action items and feedback.
  • Holds self and team accountable to develop a continuous improvement, leveraging new technologies to drive simplification while maximizing impact for our customers and colleagues.
  • Fosters agility and innovation by continuously seeking out/ideating new solutions and strategies in response to customer, colleague, and leader feedback and to support team priorities and goals
  • Joins forces/build strong relationships that foster successful collaboration with cross-functional teams



Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of full-time work experience in a retail and/or corporate environment
  • 5+ years experience engaging and inspiring teams to achieve both short-term and long-term goals
  • 5+ years of relevant experience including a deep understanding of patient outreach and retention tactics, and have an analytical and data driven approach to these strategies
  • Demonstrated growth mindset and willingness to learn and accept feedback
  • Proven track record of high performance
  • Expertise leveraging MS Office Suite, including advanced Excel and PowerPoint capabilities
  • Regular and reliable attendance during normal working hours, as established by the leader

  • Outstanding organizational skills, specifically to ensure timely and proactive follow up with leadership and team

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$66,330.00 - $145,860.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
