Job Summary:
Bucknell University seeks a Manager of Perricelli-Gegnas Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation (PGCEI) External Relations, Marketing & Communications. Reporting directly to the Director, PGCEI, the Manager of External Relations, Marketing & Communicatinos will serve as liaison between the PGCEI and colleagues in Marketing & Communications and University Advancement in matters involving alumni relations, fundraising, public relations, and volunteer activities and will manage the Bucknell Entrepreneurship Network. The position will also work in collaboration with the Center for Career Advancement, Division of Communications, and University Advancement to enhance the Center’s visibility and engage alumni and external constituents in strategic priorities. This role will also engage students in a variety of PGCEI activities. This is a full-time, exempt, benefits-eligible staff position.
This position is a full-time, exempt, benefits-eligible, staff position. This position is fully funded for at least five years (through 12/31/2030), with the expectation that new funding sources will be secured for program growth.

Work Setting: On campus, with opportunity for hybrid flexibility.

Job Duties:
What You Will Do:
- Lead Communications, Marketing, and Public Relations Strategy - Develop, coordinate, and execute comprehensive marketing and communications plans—including social media, digital content, publications, press materials, and event collateral—in collaboration with the Director, Administrative Coordinator, and Communications Division.
- Manage Digital Platforms and Brand Presence - Oversee all PGCEI digital channels (website, WordPress blog, social media, digital newsletters, videos, digital signage) and ensure consistent, engaging, and up-to-date content for students, alumni, donors, and campus partners; stay current with evolving communication trends and technologies.
- Oversee Programs, Events, and Signature Initiatives - Manage key programs such as the residency programs, Fall Founders and Spring Sprints speaker series, and the Campus Shop; coordinate related marketing, communications, logistics, and materials to promote a professional and impactful Center presence.
- Support Student Engagement and Advising - Manage PGCEI Student Ambassadors and student organizations; advise students on communications, marketing, and brand identity; prepare students for engagement with alumni, volunteers, and internal/external stakeholders.
- Facilitate Alumni, Advisory, and External Relations - Manage the Bucknell Entrepreneurship Network and PGCEI Advisory Board, including meeting planning and communications; cultivate relationships with alumni, corporations, and other external partners.
- Collaborate on Advancement and Donor Stewardship Efforts - Partner with University Advancement, including Strategic Philanthropy, to promote the Center, support donor stewardship, and develop materials that enhance engagement with donors and corporate stakeholders.
- Promote Internal Collaboration, Inclusion, and Community Building - Build collaborative relationships across campus to align communication efforts; assist in developing internal communication strategies; and actively contribute to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and engaged

What You Will Bring:
Required:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience: Minimum 3 years’ experience in communications, marketing, writing, and project and/or event management
- Knowledge & Skills:
- Demonstrated success in volunteer management, such as event/meeting planning and management.
- Strong understanding of effective graphic or visual design
- Proficient use of a variety of communications tools and platforms, including social media
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interpret and explain complex information, demonstrated by copywriting, editing and proofreading experience.
- Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities in a dynamic environment
- Demonstrated collaboration skills with variety of stakeholders
- Demonstrated commitment to educational equity, promoting and enhancing equal opportunity, diversity and inclusion
- Demonstrated success with and willingness to participate in a team environment
- Ability to maintain utmost confidentiality
Preferred, But Not Required
- Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in journalism, communications, marketing or related field.
- Master’s degree in journalism, communications, marketing or related field
- Experience:
- Experience working in higher education and/or complex, decentralized organizations on cross-functional teams
- Other Knowledge & Skills:
- Familiarity with graphic/visual design tools
- Strong organization and management skills
- Familiarity with STEM and health related fields
- Ability to drive/travel, with or without accommodations.

Salary Range:
54,080.00-67,600.00
The offer rate will be based on a review of the candidate's credentials compared to the qualifications of the position, internal equity, and our overall compensation philosophy.
This role is not budgeted for visa sponsorship at this time, all candidates must be authorized to work in the US at the time of submission of the application.
