Manager, Payor Relations- Evernorth

As a strategic leader within our organization, you will strengthen and expand partnerships across the healthcare payor landscape. Your work will drive growth, enhance contractual performance, and support high-quality patient access by building strong relationships with state health plans, PBMs, and national payors. You will guide payor strategy with a collaborative, solutions-focused approach that reflects our commitment to excellence and innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain, and enhance relationships with payors before, during, and after contract execution.
  • Lead negotiations for new and renewal contracts to secure competitive reimbursement and strategic value.
  • Ensure all agreements comply with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and organizational policies.
  • Collaborate with operations, billing, clinical, and marketing teams to align payor strategies with broader business goals.
  • Provide leadership and support to direct reports, fostering a culture of accountability and growth.
  • Oversee credentialing and provider enrollment processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Support organizational initiatives by participating in cross-functional projects and other responsibilities assigned by leadership.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Management, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in payor relations, contract management, or related healthcare functions.
  • Proven success negotiating and managing complex payor contracts with regional or national plans.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience leading teams or supervising staff.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of accreditation standards such as ACHC, URAC, or Joint Commission.
  • Familiarity with reimbursement models, credentialing systems, and regulatory compliance processes.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 97,700 - 162,900 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
