The Opportunity:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to overseeing and managing the operations of the Office for Health Equity relating to Pathways Programming, ensuring compliance with the University, state, and federal laws, policies, and regulations; implementing systems and methods for student programs and services, advising and counseling students; providing leadership at workshops or university-wide projects focused on student services. This position will co-manage the Center for the People and further advance the development of the Office for Health Equity and its goals.

This is a full time (100% FTE), permanent position. This position is overtime eligible.
Monthly Salary: $4,061.90 - $6,092.84 | Commensurate with experience and qualifications
In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate’s current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.

Required Qualifications:
Positions require a Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years of professional work experience in student services or related education/experience. Experience leading or directing the work of others. A Master’s degree in a related field may substitute for one (1) year of professional work experience. Any combination of relevant education and professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year‐for‐year basis.
Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills necessary to represent the Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine in a professional manner.
Demonstrated strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office software including, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
Demonstrated experience presenting to individuals, and large and small groups.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively and positively in a diverse team environment.
Evidence of successful experience with programmatic organizational skills, such as planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize job tasks effectively and multi-task to meet deadlines.
Ability to travel, including overnight, on occasion.
Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends on occasion.
Must have, or be able to obtain by time of hire, a valid driver’s license and meet requirements in accordance with SPPM 7.10 and departmental driving standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in related field.
Evidence of successful experience with programmatic organizational skills; planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Experience in higher education administration, including grant management, budgeting, staff supervision and program development and evaluation.
Experience implementing student related policies and procedures.
Experience providing academic advising and/or counseling to students.
Familiarity with Washington State University academic rules and regulations.
Demonstrated intercultural communication and competence working with people from historically underrepresented populations.
