Job Summary

The Manager, Field Portfolio supports a regional grants and partnerships portfolio designed to advance the company’s philanthropic priorities and strengthen community impact across key states and regions. Reporting to the Executive Director, this role manages a pipeline of strategic grants and partnerships, cultivates relationships with nonprofit, business, and civic leaders, and collaborates closely with internal teams to ensure high-quality execution and insights.
The Manager serves as a bridge between the company’s HQ Impact & Inclusion team and the field—helping identify gaps and opportunities, aligning investments to strategic goals, and supporting activations in key markets. This role involves regular engagement with field and business leaders and requires travel.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

Strategic Grantmaking & Portfolio Support

  • Support a portfolio of field-based philanthropic grants, ensuring alignment with enterprise priorities, community needs, and measurable outcomes.
  • Review and recommend proposals for funding, providing strategic input and ensuring rigor and compliance across the process.
  • Identify gaps, opportunities, and emerging issues in the portfolio to inform funding strategy and future investment decisions.
  • Partner with the Communications teams to help bring specificity to the field portfolio report on impact, elevate success stories, and inform continuous improvement.

Field & Partner Engagement

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with nonprofit, civic, and business leaders in key markets.
  • Serve as a trusted thought partner to field/government affairs and regional leadership, helping to support local giving strategies and ensure alignment with national goals.
  • Build and maintain grant tracker, to be used across all markets
  • Design and update training tools and resources to enhance grantmaker consistency and efficiency; deliver trainings on as-needed basis
  • Represent the company’s social impact work externally at key partner meetings, events, and activations.
  • Coordinate and support in-market activations, sponsorships, and events tied to local philanthropic investments where appropriate.

Operations & Internal Collaboration

  • Execute operational improvements in grantmaking.
  • Liaise with the data team to gather inputs for real-time grant updates, insights, trends, and opportunities for the field
  • Provide high level of detail oriented grant review and governance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including fulfillment, communications, marketing, and field/government affairs—to ensure cohesive storytelling and engagement around philanthropic investments.
  • Refine and or/create processes and procedures to drive efficiencies for field portfolio
  • Support the Executive Director in strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and integration of insights from the field portfolio into enterprise strategy.

Qualifications & Attributes

  • 5–7 years of experience in philanthropy, government affairs, corporate social responsibility, or a related field.
  • Proven ability to support complex grant portfolios and partnerships across multiple markets or issue areas.
  • Strong relationship management and communication skills, with the ability to engage senior leaders and diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze outcomes, surface insights, and apply learning to strategy.
  • Highly organized and proactive, with a balance of strategic thinking and hands-on execution.
  • Comfortable traveling up to 30% for internal and external partner meetings and field activations as needed.
