  • Provide strategic oversight and direction for all packaging development workstreams. Ensure integrated delivery of full packaging solutions through cross-functional coordination and accountability.

  • Support the Brand’s innovation agenda & pipeline by driving the concept-to-commercialization projects and meeting the desired project targets such as timeline, cogs, quality & compliance to process.  

  • Proactively leads and influences a broad network of stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and mitigate critical risks in packaging development.

  • Partner with Procurement to strategically build, govern, and optimize a stable, high-performance packaging supplier base (bottles, closures, shipper cases, etc.).

  • Act as the key decision-maker in defining, refining, and enforcing Chuan’s packaging quality standards.

  • Ensure full compliance to Pernod Ricard’s quality & food safety and regulation requirements during package development.

Newly added scope to establish supplier end to end quality control system

  • Proactively engage & work with global quality on supplier quality end to end management strategy deployment in China, standardize new supplier qualification quality requirements & audit policy.

  • Lead package supplier quality continuous improvement, supplier periodic visit/audit with collaboration with Procurement team.

  • Take full ownership of on-site packaging problem-solving, leading cross-functional and supplier root-cause analyses.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • 5 years or more of proven experience working within innovation, package development or quality functions in a CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods Company) or FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods Company) company.

  • Good working knowledge in packaging manufacture or material science and experience with packaging design software and materials selection.

  • Industrial connection and supplier resource in consumer goods packaging industry preferred.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

  • Proficient in MS excel, project and ppt an advantage.

  • English capability a plus.
