The Contract Manager is responsible for the end-to-end oversight of a broad range of customers including Oncology, GPOs, Health Systems, Individual Providers, and the Kaiser Staff Model. This role manages performance-based rebate and pricing programs across Sanofi’s Oncology and Established Products portfolios, ensuring timely and accurate contract execution, pricing updates, eligibility, tier management, and rebate adjudication in alignment with contractual terms.

The Contract Manager develops and delivers monthly/quarterly performance reporting to Account teams, supporting data-driven contracting decisions and customer engagement. The position requires a deep understanding of complex Oncology contract strategies, market dynamics, and product portfolios, including support for new Oncology product launches.

This role works closely with cross-functional partners including Contract Development, Account Teams, Legal, Pricing, Access Strategy, Trade, and Digital, ensuring alignment and operational excellence across contracting processes.

The role includes functional oversight of Oncology Contract Operations resources, SOX compliance, pricing action management, price protection assessments, and management reporting (financial and KPIs).

Main Responsibilities:

 

  • Manage contract lifecycle activities, including setup, amendments, and maintenance of discount structures in alignment with contract terms.

  • Lead validation of ASP-based pricing used in contract price calculations.

  • Analyze rebates, tier movements, and sales performance using reporting tools and chargeback data to assess contract effectiveness. Evaluate customer performance for performance-based agreements, ensuring accurate tier placement and pricing.

  • Ensure contract compliance through data validation and resolution of discrepancies with customers and account managers.

  • Assess operational feasibility and implications of new contract strategies proposed for PRB approval.

  • Participate in customer meetings and audits as needed.

  • Collaborate with Account Teams, Access Strategy and Contract Development to ensure contract alignment.

  • Provide functional oversight for 1 FTE, ensuring alignment with team objectives, quality standards, and operational timelines.

  • Contribute to departmental initiatives and special projects as assigned.

  • Ensure full adherence to SOX compliance requirements and internal control procedures

About You

REQUIRED EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND AND JOB-RELATED EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university

  • Area of specialization: Business, Finance, Accounting, Policy, or Health Care    

  • 4+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with experience in market access or commercial contract operations preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EQUIVALENT EXPERIENCE

  • Preferred experience in pharmaceuticals, market access, and/or finance with a solid understanding of industry dynamics.

  • Proven ability to comprehend and effectively communicate complex contracting strategies involving significant variability.

  • Strong analytical capabilities with a clear understanding of the key drivers behind rebate, pricing trends, and variances.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling clear collaboration across teams and stakeholders.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with intermediate skills in Excel, including frequent use of PivotTables and VLOOKUP for data analysis.

  • Experience with Model N FLEX and ERP systems such as SAP is preferred.

  • Demonstrated independent problem-solving abilities coupled with foundational managerial skills.

  • Highly detail-oriented, committed to accuracy and maintaining process integrity

The salary range for this position is:

$122,250.00 - $176,583.33
