You will define process parameters and system strategies for robust lab-scale operations
Ensuring that downscale models reliably predict pilot and manufacturing-scale performance is a key part of your responsibility
You will act as the primary interface between process engineering, automation/control, and scale-up teams
Aligning downscale system designs with full-scale requirements to enable smooth technology transfer also falls within your area of responsibility
You will participate in design reviews and risk assessments across development projects
Preparing system specifications, SOPs, and test plans for downscale systems is part of your daily work in close collaboration with the team
You will support validation activities and comparability protocols to ensure compliance and reproducibility
Identifying opportunities to improve downscale modeling accuracy and efficiency is an important aspect of the role
Implementing best practices in process characterization and data analysis contributes to continuous improvement initiatives
What will convince us
Experience with product development workflows in an industrial or applied research environment is part of your profile
You are familiar with scale-up principles, process characterization, and the transfer from lab to pilot or manufacturing scale
A strong understanding of chromatography principles and basic process control concepts characterizes your technical expertise
Hands-on experience with process validation and related documentation is part of your professional background
You work confidently with DoE and statistical methods and have practical knowledge of P&IDs, instrumentation, and control integration
Your profile includes the ability to align and coordinate stakeholders across process development, hardware, software, and data analytics
Strong communication skills, leadership mindset, and the ability to make sound decisions in complex and ambiguous situations set you apart
You communicate fluently in English, while German or French skills are considered an additional asset
