JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Job Summary:
The Manager of Access to Care leads and executes system-wide strategies designed to improve how patients engage with the health system at every stage of care. This role partners closely with physicians and operational leaders to improve access, eliminate barriers, and drive improvements by leveraging technology, data insights, and multidisciplinary collaboration.


Minimum Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in project management, Business, Healthcare Administration, Finance, Public Health or Engineering.
  • 3-5 years in a leadership role with demonstrated collaboration across clinical and administrative teams.
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with clinical and administrative teams to solve access challenges.
  • Strong analytical skills - Ability to interpret data, identify bottlenecks, and create actionable access-improvement plans.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Able to present complex information to physicians and leaders.
  • Technologically Proficient - Microsoft office, dashboarding tool, and EMR reporting modules (EPIC/Cogito preferred).
  • Servant leader - Ability to influence stakeholders to drive measurable operational outcomes related but not limited to office scheduling, call center and access workflows.
  • Decision making - Effectively manages competing priorities or be able to move the needle to ensure goals are met and deadlines achieved.

Preferred:

  • EPIC proficiency specifically with provider templates, visit type management and scheduling workflows.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in patient access optimization, project coordinator within a large, fast-paced healthcare organization.
  • ​Black Belt or Lean Six Sigma
  • Certified Healthcare Access Manager (CHAM)


Physical Demands:     
Must possess good physical health.  Some requirements include but are not limited to standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time.  Lifting at least 10 pounds is required.  Must be able to work with a moderate level of noise.
