Role Overview
The Manager Role is strategic leader responsible for leading a high-performance sales team to expand sales in assigned area with comprehensive margin & achieving revenue target by maintaining relationship with key stakeholders.
This role helps achieve sales growth through three main areas of responsibility: maintaining an existing customer, obtaining new business, selling New Products and achieving sales targets. Develop the customer segment and drive NE Sales strategies and ensure team implement and archive business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy and Planning:
Develop a client base and market for expansion of Sales in assigned territory of operation.
Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve New Equipment targets, mergers and revenue targets.
Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to prepare sales strategies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sales strategies for execution, with business objectives.
Sales Team Management:
Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing sales team to achieve sales targets.
Provide coaching, guidance, and feedback to sales team members.
Conduct regular performance reviews and evaluations.
Customer Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities with existing and prospective customers.
Negotiate and close complex sales deals and create win-win situations.
Sales Performance Management:
Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics (Targets, Market Share, Sales revenue, proposal conversion rates, sales cycle length).
Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
Develop and execute sales performance improvement plans.
Collaboration and Communication:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., marketing, Application Engineering Team, Construction) to align sales strategies with business objectives.
Communicate sales performance, market trends, and customer insights to senior leadership and stakeholders through review meetings.
Qualification & Requirements
Experience: 8+ years with minimum 3 year team handling experience.
Education: Bachelor’s degree, BE Engineering, MBA preferred
Preferred Industry: Elevator, Construction Equipment, DG Sets, Power Products, Building Materials.
Strong Accountable, Growth oriented & resilient mindset.
Strong negotiation and communication abilities.
Data Driven & Analytical thinking for market assessment and developing sales Strategy.
Coaching and development Behavior Trait
Active Listener & should be leveraging technology and Tools.
