Here's what you can expect as a Medical Informatics Manager at DaVita:
This management position is integral to the advancement of DaVita’s clinical Artificial Intelligence (AI) and interoperability initiatives. The Manager, Medical Informatics, will lead the strategic oversight of clinical data utilization for AI and Interoperability solutions, ensuring proper data sourcing, minimization of bias, clear return on investment (ROI), and robust governance of various quality assurance frameworks. This leader will direct all data analysis and reporting efforts for clinical AI and interoperability projects and will be responsible for the direct management, training, and coaching of the Medical Informatics Analysts. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
·       Train, coach, and manage the Medical Informatics Analysts, fostering their professional development and ensuring high-quality output. 

·       Oversee the use of clinical data for various purposes, including clinical AI and interoperability solutions, including proper sourcing, minimizing bias, ROI, and governance of quality assurance frameworks. 

·       Manage the oversight of all data analysis and reporting required for Clinical AI and Clinical Interoperability. 

·       Establish and enforce data governance policies and quality assurance protocols to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and security of clinical data. 

·       Collaborate with clinical leaders, IT developers, and data scientists to define project requirements, set priorities, and drive the successful implementation of informatics solutions. 

·       Develop and present comprehensive reports and analyses on AI and interoperability initiatives to senior leadership. 

·       Other Duties as Assigned

Education & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field is required; Master’s Degree is preferred. 

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in healthcare analytics, informatics, or a related field. 

  • At least 2 years of experience in a leadership or management role, with proven ability to train and mentor direct reports. 

  • Demonstrated experience with clinical AI, data governance, and healthcare information systems is strongly preferred. 

  • Experience in requirements analysis or as a clinical analyst is preferred. 

  • Experience with healthcare information systems and an understanding of clinical user experience is preferred. 

  • At least 3 years of Tableau, Python, and excel experience are required.

The Salary Range for the role is $84,000.00 - $133,000.00 per year.
