None/Not RequiredWe are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Manager, Material Verification and Control to oversee inspection activities for our manufacturing operations. In this critical role, you will ensure that all manufactured hardware meets the highest aerospace quality and compliance standards, while driving consistency, accuracy, and efficiency across the inspection process.
As the Manager, Material Verification and Control, you will manage a team of Quality Inspectors, oversee daily inspection workflow, maintain adherence to AS9100 requirements, and support the Certified Inspector (CI) qualification process. You will strengthen our quality management system, partner with Quality Engineers to analyze defect data, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to uphold product integrity and workmanship standards.

What YOU Will Do:
Lead and develop a team of Manufacturing Inspectors, managing performance, scheduling, and timekeeping while fostering a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement
Oversee inspection activities on the production floor, ensuring hardware meets engineering requirements, workmanship standards, and AS9100-compliant quality system expectations
Coordinate and assist with the Certified Inspector (CI) qualification process, including training, evaluation, and ongoing skill development
Collaborate closely with Quality Engineers to review and interpret defect data, identify trends, and support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions
Partner with cross-functional teams in Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Operations to resolve issues, improve inspection effectiveness, and drive process improvements
Maintain strong knowledge of Collins Workmanship Standards and ensure they are consistently applied across all inspection activities
Support and sustain quality system requirements, audits, and process improvements across the manufacturing environment
Promote Lean and continuous improvement behaviors, tools, and methodologies to elevate inspection efficiency and reduce defects
Education / Experience Needed:
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
Strong understanding of AS9100 and aerospace quality management systems
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T
Prior experience in manufacturing inspection, quality, or aerospace production environments
Qualifications We Prefer:
Strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills
ASQ certifications (e.g., CQT, CQI) are a plus
Experience with Lean, continuous improvement, or operational excellence tools
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Experience with SAP or other ERP systems

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
