Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for you to join our team as a Manager Material Planning Control 2, based out of Apopka, FL.
What you will get to do:
Daily operations of the MRP Team, which includes:
Understanding and maintaining component lead times.
Conduct regular excess/obsolete reviews and coordinate disposition actions.
Serve as the liaison between engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and logistics to resolve material shortages or excesses. Participate in program review meetings, risk-based reviews, and Earned Value Management sessions.
Ensure all material planning activities comply with ITAR, EAR, DFARS, and any customer-specific security requirements.
Oversee configuration and optimization of ERP/SAP systems. Develop and maintain custom reports, dashboards, schedule-performance index, inventory turns, and backlog accuracy.
Lead Kaizen/Lean initiatives to reduce lead times, improve forecast accuracy, and increase on-time delivery. Implement demand-driven planning methods.
Mentor and develop a team of planners and analysts. Conduct training on MRP fundamentals, system usage, and compliance requirements.
Identify material supply risks (single-source parts, geopolitical constraints) and develop mitigation strategies (dual sourcing, buffer stock, alternative materials).
Provide senior leadership with weekly and monthly status reports covering material availability, backlog health, and variance analysis.
Understands new business demands and supports loading of delivery requirements for material planning.
Works with other functional areas to ensure program goals are executed in support of cost, schedule and quality.
Using knowledge of production, procurement, and engineering functions to work with the appropriate point of contact to resolve issues and return product to flow. (Aged, Out of Cycle, Material impacts, Troubleshooting, etc.)
Basic Qualifications for the Manager Material Planning Control 2:
Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience; OR a Master's Degree with 6 or more years of relevant work experience; OR a PhD with 4 or more years of relevant work experience.
Experience with SAP, MRP (or other ERP systems), and Microsoft Excel.
Experience with supporting the initiation document of the Master Production Schedules (MPS) in coordination with material requirements.
Experience reading and understanding Bill of Materials.
Experience in coaching and collaborating with employees within a department and across functions.
Must have experience developing, manipulating and presenting complex data to executive staff.
Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
US citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with S4 Hana.
5 or more years of experience in leadership and/or management.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing and/or Green Belt certified.
Active U.S. Secret Level Security Clearance or higher.
Experience in supporting development, low rate and production environments within Operations.

Primary Level Salary Range: $104,600.00 - $156,800.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
