Position Summary
This position reports to the Associate Director, Education in the Institute for Informatics, Data Science and Biostatistics (I2DB). Position is responsible for directing, developing, implementing, and evaluating recruitment and marketing strategies for educational degree programs; manages recruitment and marketing/public information needs for department; cultivates relationships with students during admission processes and while enrolled; works as a member of the education team to develop and achieve strategic initiatives of the program.

This role is expected to be in office an average of three days per week, with in-office days focused on collaboration, strategic planning, student support, and key meetings.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develops and implements strategies for recruiting graduate students for the programs; independently creates marketing strategies to share the accomplishments of the program, its faculty and its students with the University and the general public.
- Develops and nurtures relationships with faculty, prospective students, affiliated undergraduate campuses, alumni, professionals and other staff to achieve goals; frequently travels to graduate and career fairs and professional conferences to promote program educational offerings.
- Responds to inquiries about graduate study, scholarships and other student affairs topics; high volume of electronic and telephone communications; manages the prospective student database for degree programs to track volume and type of student inquiries, responses, applications, sources of referral, etc.
- Manages recruiting and marketing/public relations events such as orientations, open houses, Discovery, Preview Day and attends both local and nationwide recruiting events to attract top student to WashU Medicine.
- Conducts tours of program for prospective students and other visitors to the program.
- Plans and coordinates publication of materials to be used in recruiting, alumni development, marking and public relations, including updating the website, new program marketing, social media,
- Assist faculty with updating and managing faculty profiles
- Develops and maintains strong relationships with faculty and administrative staff to understand recruiting and public relations needs; consults with recruiters for other departments and programs to maximize department’s recruiting efforts.
- Establishes strong working relationships with other marketing and communications professionals within OHIDS, CHAI, and Becker Medical Library, ensuring collaboration and connection across units.
- Creation of collateral such as graduation certificates, Do Around WashU Flyer, internship schedule graphics, recognition ceremony, STL Neighborhoods, fall courses flyer, I2DB digital signage, and med campus digital signage
- Assist with marketing and communications for international events and engagement
- May supervise and/or coordinate recruitment activities of other departmental personnel, including students and staff.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Salary Range
$58,400.00 - $99,700.00 / Annually
The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
