The Manager, Marketing & Customer Finance plays a critical role in analyzing, forecasting, and strategizing financial initiatives within the Marketing & Customer departments with the goal of optimizing sales and profit performance.

This position involves close partnership with the business to drive data-informed decisions to support overall business goals. The manager will be responsible for budgeting and forecasting, conducting financial analysis, monitoring & developing KPI’s, and providing actionable insights to enhance Marketing & Customer strategies.

Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • Financial Analysis: Conduct thorough ongoing analysis of financial data including marketing spend/returns, and customer behaviour/trends. Identify areas of opportunity and risk.

  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards to track financial performance of marketing investments and customers against budgets/targets.

  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Understand trends, business objectives and assist in the development of annual budgets/targets and forecasts for Marketing and Customers.

  • Financial Modeling: Develop financial models and sensitivity analysis to evaluate potential business opportunities/investments and scenarios.

  • Period-end/Year-end: Review period-end/year-end accruals to ensure completeness of financial results. Prepare commentary of performance to be shared with business leads and senior leadership.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Marketing and Customer teams to align financial goals with overall business objectives.

  • Communicate financial insights effectively to stakeholders at various levels.

  • Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and best practices in marketing and customer analytics. Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization.

The ideal candidate:

  • 3+ years of experience in FP&A, marketing finance, customer analytics, or related roles. Experience within the retail industry a plus.

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance & CPA designation an asset

  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP’s and data visualization tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tableau, MicroStrategy) is preferred.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.

  • Strategic thinker with a proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving.

  • Demonstrated leadership and influencing skills with the ability to get things done.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively

Hiring Range / Échelle salariale à l’embauche :

$100,000.00 - $117,000.00 / 100.000,00$ - 117.000,00$ (per year / par an)

Final compensation for this position will be determined based on the candidate's unique skills, expertise, individual qualifications, and assessed contributions to the role following the completion of the interview process. The range stated is the starting range for this position. Offers may vary with experience, qualifications, performance, and local market conditions.
